Yesterday I was dead tired, but I picked up my new sunglasses after work and got home in time to still trek to the gym. Once I got to the gym I took my month measurements and found that I gained an inch in my boobs! and lost an inch and a half in my waist and an inch in my hips.

Here's what I'm doing today:
Set 1: 26 push ups, 26 squats with 15-lb dumbells
Set 2: 26 push ups, 26 squats with 15-lb dumbells
Set 3: 33 push ups, 33 squats with 15-lb dumbells
Set 4: 33 push ups, 33 squats with 15-lb dumbells
Set 5: 26 push ups, 26 squats with 15-lb dumbells
Set 6: 26 push ups, 26 squats with 15-lb dumbells
Set 7: 22 push ups, 22 squats with 15-lb dumbells
Set 8: 22 push ups, 22 squats with 15-lb dumbells
Set 9: 60 push ups, 60 squats with 15-lb dumbells
This will be followed by some ab work (crunches and planks), then probably 30 minutes on the treadmill at a 10% incline, walking at 3.7 mph with 5.2 mph one-minute intervals.

My apologies for posting a day late everyone! Life's been wonderful yet hectic the last few days. Last night I got to have an impromptu date with my lond distance boyfriend whose plane got rerouted to a local airport for a long layover ;) Needless to say, I rushed to the airport straight from work to take advantage of the friendly skies, got home v late and didn't workout or post this week's challenge.

i've been liking circuit training lately. my favorite workout is an intense lower body circuit with some cardio. inspired by and adapted from workouts on bodyrock.tv -- many of the excercises, as well as the style of training, came from there.

One of my favorite workouts comes from Wii Active. I have customized my workout to include all the fun sport games like volleyball and baseball. It is great because it doesn't really feel like a workout since you are playing games.

This afternoon I was lucky enough to participate in an interview session with the most decorated American athlete in Winter Olympic history — seven-time medalist Apolo Ohno. The speed skater was nice enough to field questions live via Twitter from his 100,000+ followers (including me!) before heading back onto the ice to train. Gotta love technology!

Hi everyone,
So it has already been 6 weeks into 2010 and it is time for an update. Well the year started out great until my wonderful running injury, which probably would have stopped me in the past but not these days. It has been exactly 1 month since my doctors told me "There is absolutely no way you are going to be able to run, nor should you with your knee in this condition."

I really love running, but my ankles feel like they are about to snap when jogging. I wear ankle supports and I have running shoes with special soles (the bottom of my feet swell) and the sales person said they have good ankle support. I seriously do not know what to do, and I have tried to strengthen them, but nothing really works .
