From my blog at www.arkieyogini.com.
The only thing that motivated me to practice this morning was that it's day #6 of the practice week, so I don't have to practice tomorrow. Every day wears me out. I swear. This morning I practiced 2nd series ashtanga. I was really sore for some reason, so I only made it to laghu vajarasana. I've been practicing the more modern form of the pose (as demonstrated in the hyperlink), although I actually prefer the old-school version with hands on kees and head between feet. But, the new version is definitely good practice for building strong quadriceps. I'm now able to drop back and come up in the pose with a hand position about three inches above my ankle. Not bad. This pose wouldn't be so easy if I hadn't been attending some killer ballet inspired workout classes lately. Who know that all those grande-plié movements were so intense on the quadriceps.
So, practice today was kind of a chore. But there's no practice tomorrow. Instead, I will be spending my day packed into an auditorium with a bunch of other thrifty lawyers trying to get a few hours of free C.L.E.

Obviously, you'll need to love being in the cold if you want to learn to ice climb. Don't go out and buy all the expensive equipment to ice climb just yet.

Manuel Zelaya, the expelled (and now returned) Honduran president—who Obama and Hillary Clinton insist must return to power—has proved, once again, just how bad the judgment of his American protectors is. This report explains:
It’s been 89 days since Manuel Zelaya was booted from power. He’s sleeping on chairs, and he claims his throat is sore from toxic gases and “Israeli mercenaries” are torturing him with high-frequency radiation.
