This gives new meaning to skunky beer!
This summer, how would you like to lean back in your lawn chair and toss back a brew made from what may be the world’s oldest recipe for beer? Called Chateau Jiahu, this blend of rice, honey and fruit was intoxicating Chinese villagers 9,000 years ago—long before grape wine had its start in Mesopotamia.

Dramatic Advances Sweep Iraq, Boosting Support for Democracy
ABC News/BBC/NHK National Survey of Iraq
ANALYSIS by GARY LANGER
Dramatic advances in public attitudes are sweeping Iraq, with declining violence, rising economic well-being and improved services lifting optimism, fueling confidence in public institutions and bolstering support for democracy.
The gains in the latest ABC News/BBC/NHK poll represent a stunning reversal of the spiral of despair caused by Iraq's sectarian violence in 2006 and 2007. The sweeping rebound, extending initial improvements first seen a year ago, marks no less than the opportunity for a new future for Iraq and its people.

Conn Carroll put all this together, and I hope EVERYONE reads it
President Barack Obama wants us to put away out “childish” disagreements. But their is nothing childish about the very real concerns many economist have about his $800 billion soon to be over $1 trillion stimulus package. Those with very adult doubts about how borrowing another dollars can save our economy when we already have a trillion dollar deficit include:
John Bates Clark Medal recipient, Nobel laureate, and University of Chicago economics professor Gary Becker:
Perhaps their estimates of the stimulus provided by direct government spending are in the right ballpark, but I tend to believe that they are excessive.

Dear Main Stream Media:
Let me begin by saying that for the most part, you did a great job covering the presidential election. CNN was always there with the boring analysis (except for Reliable Sources - your only good program), MSNBC flourished and was able to catapult its biased reporting to new heights, and even Fox News - you guys did a great job of convincing my republican grandparents that if elected president, Barack Obama's skull would open up to reveal a three hundred foot tall devil holding a laser gun in one hand and the koran in the other, and would blow enough fire and sin from his mouth to wipe every small town in America right off the face of the earth -- which is what you meant to do, right? Well yeah, it worked, so good job!

OK girls. I tried to find two easy and healthy recipes that are great for the summer. I thought that a fish dish would be awesome and you can't go wrong with a good steak on the BBQ.

NEW YORK - Facebook pushed the boundaries of ad targeting when the online hangout presumed users would want the site to mine their Internet activity.
And its retreat this week — with the decision to make sure users agree first — underscores the risks social-networking sites face in helping businesses employ their wealth of user data to tailor and target advertising messages.
Dozens of commercial Web sites are embedding Facebook's free tool called Beacon to pick up data on users' activity and send alerts to their Facebook friends' "news feeds."
