Most of my life I've often wondered why Thanksgiving seemed to be for many families a trigger word for family dysfuction. Why individuals couldn't just let that disagreement with another family member go for one bloody day and enjoy some good food and conversation with more pleasant family members. I have to keep reminding my self that I'm pragmatic by nature and that is apparently unusual.
I found an article with some helpful tips.
Holidays are meant to be happy, joyous and life-affirming times.

The Heath Ledger story is winding down. It’s hard to believe that it’s hasn’t even been a week since the 28 year-old Oscar nominated actor was found dead in his NY apartment. Sources say that initial toxicology reports suggest that he died from natural causes and that no illegal drugs or even alcohol were found on the scene, nor was there time for anyone to dispose of potential evidence.

As the Senate prepares to take up health reform, senators should take note of the tremendous shift underway in the thinking of the American people.Historians may record that the Obama Administration and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi were the wake-up call which led Americans to recommit themselves to the core values of American civilization.
The net result of the Obama presidential campaign and a ten month campaign for government control of health care has been a decisive shift away from reliance on government and toward personal responsibility.
A Stunning 22-Point Shift Away From Government Responsibilty for Health Care
Polling data released last week by Gallup show a startling shift in public opinion: President Obama and Speaker Pelosi are actually convincing the country to rethink their attitudes and move toward the right and away from government solutions in health care (the same seems to be happening on spending, taxes, and how to create jobs, but that will be a future newsletter).

It's a sad day for the Robsessed fandom as People magazine have announced that Rob was unfortunately not selected as their sexiest man alive this year. There's been a lot of contemplation over who was going to win with many us presuming it was Rob, given the clues which were released throughout the week. However the coveted title went to the uber-hot Johnny Depp. Although, Rob is the sexiest man who's ever lived in my book, I can't dispute the fact that Johnny Depp is an obviously worthy contender. So congratulations,Johnny and hard luck Rob!
