Ryan Reynolds is running the New York City marathon. Though he admits, "I am a running joke," he says he is determined to hit the finish line to honor his father Jim, who has spent the last 15 years battling Parkinson's. Lance Armstrong once again took to the streets – this time along a 26.2-mile route through all five boroughs of New York, for the city's 38th annual Marathon on Sunday. "In all honesty, it's a huge challenge," the seven-time Tour de France champ, 36, told local station WNBC at the starting point of the race, near the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge on Staten Island. The marathon is changing. No longer the race of the elite runners, some serious marathoners take issue with slow runners participating in what they feel is their race. It doesn't seem to be a case of the more the merrier.
