Since a lot of us have pets, I thought this was an interesting read. Oh, and I'm not trying to start a panic... it's just a good thing to know.

Since Sam mentioned liking another bands catchy tunes with morbid lyrics I thought of HIM. :) I love this band. They are probably my absolute favorite.

Scorpios are the most intense, profound, powerful characters in the zodiac. Even when they appear self-controlled and calm there is a seething intensity of emotional energy under the placid exterior. They are like the volcano not far under the surface of a calm sea, it may burst into eruption at any moment.

Bow-ow-ow: Obama's painful missteps
Let the new president grow into the job -- but he'd better do it fast!
Plus: Readers ask about everything from talk radio, morality
By Camille Paglia
Dear Camille,
In your column, you say, "President Obama has been ill-served by his advisors and staff."
The primary job requirement of a good senior executive is the ability to judge character and ability, in order to be able to select people to whom responsibilities may be safely delegated.

Here’s what happens when a dude finally watches "Twilight."
As you may have heard once or twice over the past couple days, "Twilight" came out on DVD over the weekend. Since I live in a house with four women and zero dudes, unless you count the cats, this was considered to be something of a watershed moment in my household.

I occassionally mention the fact that I had Gastric Bypass Surgery (Roux En Y to be specific).
It was not Stomach Stapling as people often try to refer to it. Stomach Stapling is a completely different old procedure from Roux En Y Gastric Bypass.

I am 5'11 and pretty much all my adult life, up until 2 years ago, I was naturally 120 - 125 pounds. I know that is considered underweight, but as I said, that was what I always was naturally. I ate just like I do now, just like I always have and I never gained weight.

In commemoration of what would have been Layne Staley's 40th birthday today, I thought I would put something together showcasing the life of this amazing artist and person. Some of you may not know who Layne Staley or his more famous band, Alice in Chains, but by far this is my favorite band of all time, and even though he is dead, Layne's memory will live on through his music for years to come.
Some might classify the music of Alice in Chains as "grunge" simply because they came from Seattle during that time period, but I've never felt that they could be so narrowly placed into one genre of music.
