Forgive me if this post gets a little Eeyore for your taste, but some days are just meant to be a little gloomy. Luckily, the sound of rain can be nice, soothing, and add some background noise to your day. Rainy Mood plays a 15-minute loop of a rainstorm as soon as you open the page, complete with rolling thunder and a few chirping birds for good measure.

Sugar reader jke posted this note and video gem on our Mood Gallery, and I wanted to share it with you here. Some readers might find the video too dark or sad, so be forewarned. I stumbled on the POSTSECRET website some time ago and feel it's healing for people to safely unburden themselves of their secrets.

In this day and age, when pretty much everything is online, it's hard to create a physical mood board. Trust me, I've tried — I end up printing things from the web anyway. Why go through the hassle when I can create a virtual mood board?

If crappy weather and the postholiday letdown have left you blue, try these spirit-lifting suggestions. They'll have you feeling great...and looking gorgeous as all get-out.
Even the most cheerful chick might be bummed right now: According to research, January is the most depressing month.

Receive instruction in wise dealing and the discipline of wise thoughtfulness, righteousness, justice, and integrity.
Proverbs 1:3
Moods can bring strange impulses that we dare not heed. When we get moody, we want to do weird things, or neglect our responsibilities.

My Mood Today,
Today started out ok, Class in the morning, ate lunch, nearly froze to death in -30 waiting for the bus, but what really changed my mood was a run in with a Professor. Like most university students, I have a crush on a professor and it seemed too like he felt something for me...or at least we got along great together. Then he told me that he didn't respond to an email i sent him about an assignment, due to the fact that 'a woman very special to me had broken her leg'.

I was at Ulta today browsing the aisles when I came to Too Faced's section. I spotted the Mood Swing lip gloss and decided to give it a try.
Here is what Sephora has to say:
"Our supernatural formulation starts off crystal clear and blossoms into countless shades of pink from cotton candy to deep fuchsia, depending on the wearer's emotional state.

Everyone's got at least one song that you may love at other times, but you always seem to play when things aren't going so well. Some people turn to the sad, some to the optimistic, and some to the kick-ass.
For instance, whenever I'm at work and something is driving me crazy or I'm thinking about leaping out the nearest window and making a run for it on whatever body parts I have left, I usually listen to Guns 'N' Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle."

Start categorizing your music by color-coded moods and next time you don't know what you want to listen to, just tell Moody how you're feeling.
