Lance Bass 'Itching' For 'N Sync Reunion

Hot on the heels of the New Kids On The Block comeback, Lance Bass is sure 'N Sync will reunite – one day.

"We're definitely itching to do some music," the new Dancing with the Stars contestant told Access Hollywood.

Are Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick also game? "We've always discussed it," said Bass. "It's always a possibility and we still owe some records to the record companies."

Still, he admitted, it could take years to get their schedules, well, in sync.

"It's gonna be hard to get Justin to calm down and get off tour," Bass said. "He's a workaholic."

cool
This is my Marilyn Monroe inspired look, with peep toe shoes and a little cubic zirconian bling, since "diamonds are a girls best friend", right?

February was a tough month...

Man this month has been difficult... first I broke my toe (no real big deal) but it did limit my workouts to the elliptical... boring! Then my daughter got really sick... and sick lil' ones only want their mommies. = ) So that was draining and I missed a week of school and work... then I got sick with an awful, horrible, won't go-away-cough... So another week of no work and school, plus no working out without coughing fits. At first I was doing okay and only had to cut back on the number of workouts from 6x a week to 2x a week to NOx a week (last week). I'm behind at work and have my comps coming up a the end of March so I'm feeling pretty stressed as of late. My toe no longer hurts and my cough has lessened, so I'm itching to get out and run forever and sweat away my stress rather than eat my feelings. LOL! Guess my body needed me to take it easy. But I'm ready to get going!
Hope everyone else is healthy and I was just needing to vent!

Epiduo Gel (week 1)

I've had a problem with acne for about a year now, so I finally dragged my butt to the dermatologist for some prescription medication. Surprisingly, my check up lasted only about ten minutes (a lot shorter than I expected). She gave me a prescription for Epiduo Gel. I've seen some Epiduo commercials and ads in magazines, so I was very eager to try it. The only downside, is that she said it will take a month before I start to see results. But, I'm still very excited to try it out and hopefully it works as well as its suppose to (fingers crossed!). Today is the third day I've used it and so far I haven't had any problems with overdrying on my skin, itching, or burning. I'll keep you posted about once a week to let you know how this gel works out for me!

Some things about Epiduo Gel:

It can dry up your skin a lot, so make sure to use moisturizer.

It contains benzoyl peroxide, which is a bleaching agent so when using on your chest or back, wear an old t-shirt.

Don't use any scrubs or harsh cleansers while using Epiduo. Just wash your face with a mild cleanser or soap once in the morning and once at night before applying the Epiduo gel.

And a reminder: this is a prescription, so you have to see a dermatologist.

Should We Reward Ourselves For Weight Loss?

OnSugar blogger Losing Emily has made a pledge to not indulge in something she loves until she loses 20 lbs.

A dog rolls over, he gets a cookie. An employee does well at work and receives a raise. When playing FarmVille on Facebook, farmers get points for feeding their chickens - oh so addictive game. But should we reward ourselves for weight loss? I go back and forth on this.

Of course I am not talking about rewarding ourselves with food - a chocolate here, or a soda there - because that will not end well. I am talking about rewarding yourself with something you like when you lose a certain amount of weight. I am sure that in the end it's inevitable that we'll all end up with new wardrobes seeing that we'll all get lost in our baggy clothes of the past. But what about little milestone rewards?

To see what Losing Emily's reward is, read more.

I was considering something like, every 10 or 20 pounds go to a movie (seeing as I don't do that much) or maybe buy make-up I want. Would this be a good motivator? I think it might be. Although, the only way it could truly work is by rewarding ourselves with something we don't do on a daily basis so that the small prize is that much more excitable. And who knows, maybe this will even help us save money? I know I spent way too much in the past couple of months. This process could not only be a rewards system for weight loss goals, but also a hiatus on spending!

So let's do it! I pledge to you, whoever you may be, that I will not spend any money on cosmetics until I have lost another 20 pounds. That will make me 235 llbs, eek! I have to be honest, when I typed that, my hand was itching for the backspace button, but I want to see if this is a good system. And I know you may be thinking, "Oh she won't spend money on cosmetics, big whoop." If you're a cosmetic junkie, I dare you to watch any beauty guru on YouTube without running to your nearest MAC.

Please leave any thoughts on the subject, or pledge your own reward system!

Want to see more? Start following Losing Emily or start your own OnSugar Blog. Maybe your stories will be posted here on FitSugar!

Keep Your Pucker Soft and Healthy

You're not imagining thing. Lips really do get more chapped in the winter. As the air's moisture levels plummet, the water in your skin is drawn out, and the result is chapped lips. Here are some tips to keep your pucker soft and healthy.

1) It's a myth that some moisturizers leave your lips needing more balm, but there are some formulas that are better than others. Ingredients such as petrolatum, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, and dimethicone are all good at restoring moisture. The most important thing is to use a balm that's viscous, not waxy, so ingredients penetrate fissures. If you have chronic chapping, look for a lip treatment that contains ceramides, which help restore the skin barrier.

2) There are some ingredients that can make chapping worse. Anyone with eczema should make sure her balm doesn't contain lanolin. Since fragrance is the number one skin allergen, stay away from heavily scented or flavored balms; cinnamon can be particularly irritating. (Menthol actually soothes itching, though.) If you want to exfoliate your lips, use lip balm with a touch of alpha hydroxy acid, such as EI Solutions Lip Refine, rather than a grainy scrub or a washcloth.

3) Besides dehydration, the other main cause of chapped lips is a disruption in the pH balance of skin, which needs to be slightly acidic in moist areas like the mouth. Toothpastes, mouthwashes, and skin cleansers can alter this balance, so apply balm after you brush your teeth or wash your face. If you suspect your toothpaste may be part of the problem, consider one called Squiggle-it doesn't contain sodium laurel sulfate, and it makes a big difference with persistent chapping.

An eye for fashion and a strong desire to help others

http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/life/article_7442b389-325c-5591-855f-b76ac6a3f403.htmlBy MICHELLE LEE, Staff Writer | Posted: Monday, January 4, 2010
LINWOOD - The career closet at the Atlantic County Women's Center looks like a fashion store stuffed with a rainbow of slacks, business jackets, shirts and skirts.
But these clothes are more than just garments; they will become new office apparel for displaced women trying to get back into the work force.
Ruth Smith Weighall, a retired pediatric nurse from Smithville, and Trish Aherne, a stay-at-home mother from Egg Harbor Township, are the primary ladies in charge of "the closet." They volunteer twice a week to sort through the donated items and put together business outfits. A third volunteer, Nancy Harrigan, also helps out with maintaining the closet.
Smith Weighall and Aherne also help out with a number of other activities throughout the year, such as fundraisers, making holiday care packages and other special events, said Theresa Moschetto, the women's center volunteer services coordinator.
Smith Weighall, 74, said she volunteers because she was an early beneficiary of someone else's generosity.
Smith Weighall, whose parents were Jewish, escaped the Holocaust as a 3-year-old child. She was raised by an English family for several years. She said that experience influenced her and she's tried to help out others during the course of her life.
"Painting churches, car washes, everyone says I'm an itch," Smith Weighall said. "I have to stay active."
Smith Weighall started helping the Atlantic County Women's Center day care center two years ago, then she switched to the career closet in October 2008. At that point, Smith Weighall met Aherne, then a new volunteer, and "we just clicked."
Aherne, 44, said she wanted to help the greater community for several years after recovering from Hodgkin's lymphoma. She decided the women's center was the "perfect" place after participating in the group's 5K fundraising race last year.
Aherne said she likes helping out because "you get more than you give."
"The fact (is) it takes you out of your life and then you realize there's a larger world," she said.
Both women said they find the experience very rewarding, and Smith Weighall said she's been touched several times. Once, Smith Weighall said a woman she didn't know came up, hugged her and thanked the center for its support.
Twice a year, the ladies also help set up the "Dress for Success" program, in which the center's clients come in for a full business makeover.
"I love it. You see, I worked in a boutique for a few years (and) it's nice because some people have an eye for fashion, others don't, and sometimes you can pull things together and see the expression their face and they say, 'Oh, I never thought about that,'" Smith Weighall said. "And it all goes together. We have fun. We enjoy everything, but that's the highlight of our effort."
Moschetto said the women's center has about 100 volunteers, and what sets Smith Weighall and Aherne apart "is their sincerity."
"People sometimes volunteer because they want to fill a void, to be busy. These two women are special because they want to be here and they have the heart to back it up," she said.
The Atlantic County Women's Center, 1201 New Road, Suite 240, is looking for people to join the volunteer program. Volunteers must be at least 16 years-old and the hours are flexible. For more information, call 609-601-9925.
Love Rules - Love Myths

Love Rules: Experts Weigh In

There are tons of relationships dos and don'ts, but do these so-called rules really stand up under a closer examination? These relationships experts take a look at some tried - but not always true - love sayings.

1. Say "I Love You" Every Day
Barbara De Angelis, personal-development expert: Say it as often as possible. There's no reason to be emotionally stingy with the person you love.
Nancy Kalish, psychologist: I agree that it should be said often, but it should be said sincerely, so it means something. Not just "Good-bye. Love you."

2. Play Hard to Get
Sam Yagan, dating-website cofounder: Playing hard to get starts the relationship off on a deceptive foot. If you want your relationship to be based on trust, honesty, and communication, why would you begin it like that?

Greg Behrendt, coauthor of He's Just Not That Into You: You shouldn't play hard to get; you should be hard to get, because your life is so busy and fulfilling. My wife and I call it being a MOD ― a moving object of desire.

3. Your Spouse Shouldn't Be Your Best Friend
Pepper Schwartz, sociologist: I agree. I think you're asking a lot of your marriage to have the level of confidentiality, truthfulness, and disclosure that a best friendship has. Your marriage can fulfill only so many roles.
De Angelis: I disagree. If you spouse isn't your best friend, then what is he? I think it's important that you not only love him but like him a lot, too.
John Gray, author of Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus: I have no problem with partners who are best friends, but you should have other close friends to confide in as well ― especially when you are having relationship difficulties and need time away from your spouse. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

4. Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder
De Angelis: A little bit of absence can help you appreciate your partner. Too much is dangerous. Relationships need connection, and it's challenging to stay connected when you aren't spending time together.
Schwartz: To a point ― and then absence makes the heart go roaming. You need a steady diet of intimacy and the other person's presence to remember why you're in the relationship. If you don't see each other often enough, you can start to lead parallel lives instead of lives that intersect.
Yagan: Absence can make the desire and lust for your partner grow. But it can also lead to stress in a relationship, because phone calls or text messages aren't substitutes for real conversation.

5. You Can Learn to Love Someone
Judy Kuriansky, sex therapist: That's true, depending on how you define love. You may not have the love-at-first-sight kind of love, but the deep companion kind of love ― in terms of trusting each other and being a team ― can develop over time.
Behrendt: No, that sounds like settling. I don't believe in settling, because it's not fair to the person you're with or yourself. It's not like settling on an apartment you don't love but can live with.

6. Never Go to Bed Angry
Barbara De Angelis, personal-development expert: I disagree. Most of us don't do well discussing emotional topics late at night, when we're tired and less emotionally articulate ― and your well-intentioned desire to kiss and make up is likely to make him angrier. Let your partner get some rest and things will be easier to resolve in the morning.
Howard J. Markman, psychologist: Most of the relationship issues that people argue about at night can wait for another day. However, if there are urgent issues that need to be discussed, partners should talk things through earlier in the night, then try to spend what is left of the evening relaxing.
Nancy Kalish, psychologist: You shouldn't go to bed angry, but that doesn't mean you have to solve every problem before you nod off. Even if an issue isn't resolved, people who love each other should be able to put it aside and get some sleep, but with the understanding that it will be addressed in the near future with a time specified.

7. Having Kids Will Bring You Closer
Pepper Schwartz, sociologist: Children are an extraordinary source of joy, but they also bring conflict and difficulty into any relationship. You lose time, privacy, and intimacy. An otherwise easy relationship can be tested in a whole new way.
Kalish: The more family members you have, the more friction you have, because there are more relationship issues to work through. And if you focus exclusively on the kids, it takes away from your togetherness as a couple.

8. There Is Such a Thing As Love at First Sight
Ellen Wachtel, couples therapist: False. Often it takes time for love to develop. For some people, physical chemistry plays such a big role at the outset that it is mistaken for love.
Schwartz: It's a romantic story when it works out, but you don't hear about the relationships that end badly. Relationships start slow and build; they aren't necessarily wonderful from the start.
Markman: You'll quickly know if you're attracted to each other, but not if you're compatible or fit to stick together through tough times.

9. Always Keep Him Guessing
Greg Behrendt, coauthor of He's Just Not That Into You: No, that's tactical game playing, not love. It takes a lot of calculated effort and is dishonest.
Schwartz: It's powerful and mysterious to be unpredictable, but it is also manipulative and can build resentment and anger and erode intimacy and respect.
Sam Yagan, dating-website cofounder: There's good guessing and bad guessing, and it's really about what kind of guessing you're making him do. Try to keep the relationship fresh by being unexpectedly romantic.

10. You Can Never Be Too Close
Wachtel: False. Many marriages are damaged by partners thinking that closeness means not having to censor what they say or do. Some couples take each other for granted: Metaphorically speaking, they never get out of their sweat suits at home. If you don't make an effort to be well mannered or attractive to your partner, then you're too close.
Markman: That's absolutely true. Closeness ― emotional intimacy ― is the heart of a good marriage, so it's important to talk about what closeness means to each of you.

11. Love Conquers All
Barbara De Angelis, personal-development expert: Unfortunately, this is not true. Love is a big part of a lasting relationship, but shared values and commitment are still required.
Pepper Schwartz, sociologist: Sadly, it's a myth. Love won't conquer poverty, addiction, or abuse.

12. Everyone Experiences the Seven-Year Itch
Schwartz: The itch is true, but it doesn't necessarily take seven years to get there. Some people get divorced within a year or less if they're convinced the marriage isn't salvageable.
Howard J. Markman, psychologist: Most partners will at some time think about divorce, but not necessarily in seven years. The data show that most people who thought about getting divorced were happy they stayed married when surveyed five years later. When things are tough, focus on increasing friendship and sensuality in the relationship.

13. The Way to a Man's Heart Is Through His Stomach
De Angelis: The way to a man's heart is through his heart. Men want a woman who is going to be a great friend and companion ― and if they have to order takeout, so be it!
Judy Kuriansky, sex therapist: It's true if he loves food, but that part about having to feed the needs of his heart is true, too. Still, don't lose sight of your own needs. For a relationship to be successful, both partners need to feel pleased and fulfilled.
John Gray, author of Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus: You're off by about six inches. Sex is the direct way to a man's heart.
Angelina's Itching for a Baby

If everything goes according to plan, the world may see a fifth Jolie-Pitt child in 2008.

Yes, Hollywood's ever-expanding clan is ready to make a push for that "football team" of a family they've repeatedly talked about, and what's more - Angelina Jolie is hoping baby No. 5 will be her second biological child with Brad Pitt.

“Brad and Angie are hoping it’ll happen soon, before Shiloh gets too much older,” a family insider tells OK!.

For the woman who years ago had knocked down talk of ever having biological children, Angie now can't wait to get pregnant again. But there's just one problem - it's taking longer than she thought. Unlike with 19-month-old Shiloh, the 32-year-old actress has had difficult conceiving this time around and believes it may have something to do with her dramatic weight loss, brought on by the death of her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, last year.

“A family member told her the more she stresses about it, the longer it might take," the source says. "Angie agreed and said she’d talk to Brad about the possibility of using fertility drugs.”

As for Brad, he's already making room in their Malibu home to accommodate their plans. Shiloh is moving into a "grown-up" bedroom with a canopy bed while her nursery will be refurnished for their future arrival.

“He’s repainting her old room in neutral tones so they have a blank slate for the next addition," a friend of Brad tells OK!.

“They’re ready,” a Pitt family friend adds. “Brad’s family is hoping it’ll happen soon.”
