So my trainer has been killing me on the bike doing interval training and I've been doing it on my cardio days too. On my cardio days, I just do the elliptical on the interval setting, making the harder ones a bit harder then they set it to. And on trainer days, we just do 6 min on the bike, 25 sec hard as you possible can, 15 sec rest.

First off, HIIT (high intensity interval training) is the best type of cardio to aid in fat loss. HIIT is as simple as jogging on the treadmill for 60 seconds and then sprinting for 30 seconds and repeating this for 20-30 minutes. But don't forget your 5 minute warm up and cool down.

So in my weight loss plateau, my trainer suggested I start doing interval training. Basically it's hard, easier, hard, easier etc etc. He gave my goals for my heart rate monitor (120 low end and 170 high) and I did it today.

Well I am giving myself 4 months to lose 35lbs --sounds reasonable, Right? To date I have gone from 197lbs-163 so my ultimate goal is to be around 130lbs at 5'8". I'll post from time to time with new insights and mini-goals!

Ok, after a few months of fad dieting to lose another 35lbs to add to the already 32lbs I’ve lost, I’ve vow *NEVER TO DO A FAD DIET AGAIN
Well I am giving myself 4 months to lose 35lbs --sounds reasonable, Right?
I’m aiming for around:
-3 meals consisting of: fibrous carb or complex carb and lean protein
-2 snacks of lean protein and either fibrous carb/complex carb/ or healthy fat (nuts)
-2-3 litres of water daily
-60 minutes of cardio 5 days a week (interval, spinning, running, elliptical etc…)
-30-60 minutes of David Kirsh’s DVDs or Yoga Burn by Gaiam’s Rodney Yee or circuit training 2-5 days a week
-1,400-1,500 calories
-Perhaps 1 cheat meal a week to get cravings out of the way
-And perhaps keep score of week or biweekly weigh in or measuring-in with a tape measure
Food options: veggies, lean protein, fruits, sprouted breads/grains, beans/lentils, nuts, healthy fats, kashi bars, soy latte’s on occasion and tons of water
What do you think?

Are you lacking the time to exercise? Are you short on money and can’t afford a gym membership? Do you lack workout equipment?

Well, I've been given my just-desserts. I caved in bought new running shoes a few weeks ago, but not in enough time. I've been ignoring the pain in my right leg, chalking it up to an old break that was being particularly stubborn in the humid weather.

Well this was a lazy week for me. I ended up having to fulfill some social obligations and there just wasn't much time left to hit the gym. My boyfriend said that a lazy week for me is still more active than 95% of people in America.
