I was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, which causes sufferers severe anxiety, fatigue, a racing heart and high blood pressure as well as tremors and insomnia. Currently I have to take a heavy-duty beta blocker that makes me incredibly tired after I take it, and makes it hard to get out of bed in the morning. I am also taking an antidepressant to help combat the despair and helplessness I feel over the disease.
