As Americans search for the cure to what ails our health-care system, we've overlooked an invaluable source of ideas and solutions: the rest of the world. All the other industrialized democracies have faced problems like ours, yet they've found ways to cover everybody -- and still spend far less than we do.
I've traveled the world from Oslo to Osaka to see how other developed democracies provide health care.

1/ Amanjena, Morocco
Nestled at the edge of Marrakech against the breathtaking backdrop of the Atlas mountains, Amanjena is a celeb favourite, with A-listers including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Sienna Miller and Posh and Becks on its list of high-profile clients. And it's easy to see why – the resort's stunning ancient Moorish design, beautifully decorated dome-ceiling bedrooms and indulgent spa make for a luxurious getaway.
A beautiful and private address stretching leisurely through spacious grounds in the ever popular city of Marrakech and located a short drive from the fever pitch excitement of Djemaa El Fna.

The cool white drapes that hovered over the floor-to-ceiling windows parted, giving way to an astounding view of the Los Angeles skyline from high up in the Hollywood Hills.

A coworker mentioned to me yesterday that Spa Week (http://www.spaweek.org/) is taking place later this month on the West Coast and next month on the East Coast. And I must say, I can't wait. Who amongst us doesn't enjoy a little bit of pampering?

I have never really had a spa experience. I've thought of going, but the very idea of somebody scrubbing me down and wrapping me up in stuff doesn't really appeal to me. Even facials make me feel a bit queasy.
