Another great travel planning site whether you're looking for activities close to home or for your next trip is Goby.com. An activity search engine, Goby.com can search more than 300 categories of “things to do” from museums and holiday events to hiking trails and hotels. Just enter “what, where and when” and be inspired by the myriad of things you can do – whether home or away this holiday season.

I'm a big fan of Nike's All Condition Gear (ACG) line. If you're into climbing, hiking, or trail running, this shoe line has something for you. When at the Nike store recently, I noticed that my Wildedge approach shoes are now on sale.

My apologies for having nothing originally in this post. The text was here but didn't show up.
Apparently this article is too long to be printed here, at about 11 pages. It is nevertheless worth reading, unless, as someone has already done, you have made your mind up what to believe before reading.

Earlier today I went hiking at a small conservation area outside of Hamilton called Webster's Falls. For those of you who don't know where Hamilton is, it's southwest of Toronto (it's also the place where Jim Balsille is trying to move the Phoenix Coyotes). It's one of my favourite places in the world to be...

This afternoon, Fox News’ Glenn Beck suggested that Gov. Mark Sanford’s (R-SC) apparent disappearance is simply a media ploy to “discredit” the governor, and that his wife and others knew his whereabouts. (They said they didn't-she said he needed somewhere quiet to write) When Beck asked Sen.

MOUNT OBAMA NATIONAL PARK
The Caribbean island country Antigua will rename its highest peak for the president and declare it a national park
Barack Obama might have a long way to go before he's carved into a stone mountainside a la Rushmore, but the popular president can take solace in the fact that he'll already have a mountain and a national park named after him before his first year in office ends. (Not bad—last time I checked, only Teddy Roosevelt has a national park named after him.)
There's just one catch: It's not in the U.S. Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer of the tiny Caribbean nation of Antigua plans to rename the island's tallest mountain in honor of President Obama.

Today, the stars may be looking for a way to unwind prior to a big event like, you've guessed it, The Oscars!
Hiking is simply walking on a path -- it could be a an easy winding trail or a steep treacherous one, either way it's hiking. Hiking can be a great way to escape your regular gym routine as well as a great way of clearing your mind before a major event.

Autumn’s golden hues set the tone for an exhilarating outdoor adventure.
Fall foliage is at its peak. Why not treat yourself to a long hike under an autumn canopy of red, orange and gold?

I love going out and enjoying natural surroundings! Eco-tourism is a really popular and major draw to New Zealand, but with the country being so far away from everything else - how eco-friendly is this type of travel? It is also really expensive to travel in this country, which is why I haven't done so very much.
