It had been a rough month by the time 67-year-old Bert Stead of Redding, Calif., stepped to the microphone at an August 18 town hall meeting with Republican representative Wally Herger. It was about to get rougher.

I am 21 years old. I recently lost a lot of weight...enough to be a new person and now I am reeping the benefits of this new body. I lived 21 years of never being asked out or even looked at and now I am full throttle in the dating scene.
