An Iron Age treasure hoard unearthed by a metal-detecting enthusiast has been unveiled. The four gold Iron Age neck ornaments, or torcs, date from between the 1st and 3rd Century BC and are said to be worth an estimated £1m.
They were discovered in September by "first-time" metal-detector enthusiast David Booth in a field in Stirlingshire. The find is the most important hoard of Iron Age gold in Scotland to date.

Last night I went to see Mogwai playing in a club (and good concert venue) in Edinburgh. Although I'd never seen them live before, and am not an expert of the band, I really like their CD and thought that, well, since they were a good band, they'd be really good in concert!
Well, the concert turned out being utterly booooring!

I love the priceless, vintage feel of this look - details such as the pearls, peacock feather belt and beaded, scallop edges on the shrug make it feel so expensive but really it's made up of bargains! Dress - Ebay bargain. Shrug - Topshop.

I found this article at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/books/booknews/6194031/The-Lost-Symbol-and-The-Da-Vinci-Code-author-Dan-Browns-20-worst-sentences.html. Pretty funny for grammar nerds like me. Enjoy!

A new study has found that redheads are more than twice as likely to avoid a visit to the dentist - possibly because they are more sensitive to pain. But does hair colour really mean more discomfort in the dentist chair?
Nicole Kidman, Hazel Blears and Prince Harry may all share ginger coloured locks, but could they also share a fear of the dentist?

History Of Scotland
The history of Scotland begins around 10,000 years ago, when humans first began to inhabit Scotland after the end of the Devensian glaciation, the last ice age. Of the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age civilization that existed in the country, many artifacts remain, but few written records were left behind.
The written history of Scotland largely begins with the arrival of the Roman Empire in Britain, when the Romans occupied what is now broadly England and Wales, administering it as a Roman province called Britannia.

The Pyrenean ibex, a form of wild mountain goat, was officially declared extinct in 2000 when the last-known animal of its kind was found dead in northern Spain.
Shortly before its death, scientists preserved skin samples of the goat, a subspecies of the Spanish ibex that live in mountain ranges across the country, in liquid nitrogen.
