I love my Zumba classes. Its a totally killer workout, great music, fun environment that doesn't feel like exercise. I have taken tons of zumba classes since September from 4 different instructors and each instructor is totally different...

The widow of an Internal Revenue Service employee killed when a disgruntled taxpayer flew his plane into a seven-story building in Austin, Texas, last week is suing the pilot's wife, according to court documents.
Valerie Hunter, the wife of Vernon Hunter, is accusing Sheryl Stack, wife of Andrew Joseph "Joe" Stack III, of negligence, alleging she knew or should have known that her husband was a threat to others and, thus, could have prevented the attack, according to the lawsuit filed Monday in Travis County District Court.
"Stack was threatened enough by Joseph Stack that she took her daughter and stayed at a hotel the night before the plane crash.

If it takes more than a little snow or cold weather to keep you from hitting the trails, then have I got a shoe for you. Merrell sent me a pair of Siren Sport Gore-Tex XCR trail running/hiking shoes ($100), and my feet are in love. Not only are they adorable and sleek enough to wear with casual jeans (not bulky or manly looking), but these weatherproof sneaks also impressed me on the trails.

This is my first blog post in the fit for 2010 challenge! I workout at a gym, but lately I've been getting a little bored with the elliptical and treadmill. I was thinking about the dryland training I used to participate in for ski racing, so I found a local park with a track and a small workout playground (a playground with pull up bars and such) and starting looking for exercises that I could do outdoors.

My favorite workout is a mix of things so that I get a lot of variety, work a lot of muscles and can still have fun. I always start out stretching to relax my muscles and get ready to go. I start out with a warm up run of two miles which can be on a trail, a road or the treadmill. I do a circuit of weight training to work my arms, legs, and everything in between. I'll then do a swim workout of a couple thousand yards which is great for the body and refreshing on a hot day. This is my perfect workout and to cool down, I love yoga. If I am crunched for time, I'll just focus on one variety or if I am having an off day I'll just do yoga, but I love the way exercising makes me feel and really reenergizes me.

Spinning class is the BEST possible way for me to get my week started. The Monday morning teacher is super tough. I tackle sprints, hills, intervals, standing, sitting, climbing and sweat a ton all before 7 AM. It makes me feel like anything else I'll encounter during the day will be a piece of cake.

After starting back to work a couple of weeks ago and ending my maternity leave, it has been more difficult to keep up exercise routine. I've been trying to do a little during the day, even if it's walking up the stairs, stretching in the afternoon, or taking a quick walk around the block. I did an Active Wii routine yesterday and I could definitely tell I've been out of practice for the past couple of weeks, but it felt great.

I've been trying to keep up with the Wii Active Fit 30 days challenge. I went for a couple of weeks without working out, but did two this weekend, which includes strength exercises and cardio for about 25 minutes each. I also need to get back to doing my yoga.
