From the poll I took, I noticed that we, as a collective group, seem to represent every skin type, from sensitive to combination. So I thought that this week, I would devote each day to a recipes for different skin types.
Today, obviously, I'm choosing to focus on sensitive skin.

Violet Milk Cleanser-Add 1 tsp violet petals to 1/4 cup milk. Heat gently until nearly simmering, and keep heating gently until the milk is strongly violet-scented. Strain, bottle, keep in the fridge and use within three or four days.

At the end of a long day, it's always nice to come home and relax, particularly when that relaxation involves a bathtub, a glass of wine, and some music. It's the best way to destress and wash away all your cares of the day, particularly during the summer.
So, tonight, after you walk in the door and kick off your shoes, take an hour or so and treat yourself to a little time in the tub.

I am finally able to pick off some of my leaves to store them in a air-tight glass container in a cool, dry cupboard today, and I can't be happier. I could've done this earlier because my lemon/bee balm plants are thriving, but I haven't been able to find a decent glass container. I almost hit myself when I popped into the dollar store to look around with really no intention of finding anything worth buying.

This is my first step into gardening and having plants around me that doesn't consist of tiny $3 cactus plants from Wal-mart. I have decided to start small with two herb plants, Bee Balm and Lemon Balm, to see how they go over. If all goes well I will be adding a few small, one-herb pots using mint and chamomile.
