Yesterday I was dead tired, but I picked up my new sunglasses after work and got home in time to still trek to the gym. Once I got to the gym I took my month measurements and found that I gained an inch in my boobs! and lost an inch and a half in my waist and an inch in my hips.

TRANSPORTATION:
One-woman bureaucracy keeps maglev hopes alive
Despite political hay over it, fast train is far from reality
Las Vegas Sun/ 03/04/09
Richann Bender, executive director of California-Nevada Super Speed Train Commission, holds an illustration from a 1983 Las Vegas Sun feature on the California-Nevada high-speed train Monday in her home office. The economic stimulus bill contains money for such projects.
Books and articles on fast trains lie on the home-office desk of Richann Bender, the California-Nevada Super Speed Train Commission's unpaid executive director.

Hi everyone,
The last few weeks we have focused on weekly challenges that are not necessarily a certain fitness move, but different kinds of mindsets and thoughts about exercise and your fitness program.
As the holidays are coming and everyone seems to be getting more and more busy, I was thinking this week would be a good week to have our challenge be some fitness moves you can do, on the go, at work quickly even if you have to hide in the bathroom for a few minutes to make them happen. That sounds a bit over the top, but I think you may see what I am trying to say.

Expanded Undercover Investigation Shows Mistreatment of Downer Cows Is Commonplace at Livestock Auctions
May 7, 2008
The shocking abuse of "downer" cows occurs not just at slaughter plants but may be an everyday happening at livestock auctions and stockyards around the country—the midpoints between farm and slaughter—as shown in an expanding undercover investigation by The Humane Society of the United States.
"Downer" cows are those too frail to stand on their own—dragged and prodded with inhumane handling methods, and increasing the threat of carrying and passing disease.
During April and May, HSUS investigators visited auctions in Maryland, New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Texas and videotaped downer cows at each stop—animals left to suffer for hours and in one instance overnight.

Most certainly not a typical week, shocker, I know. Why is summer so crazy? You look forward to it all summer, but then there's so much going on that it all rushes by so quick?
