It is no secret that I love working out with an exercise ball. Not only do I use a ball for core work, but one also makes a great yoga prop too. An exercise ball can support you in many stretches - like the wheel, aka backbend.

Hey all, I have a quick question I thought maybe you fellow yogis could help me with.
I went to a yoga class last night and the instructor had us doing a ton of backbend - camel, 1/2 wheel, full wheel, bow, and also the ones where you lie on your belly and lift your legs and arms up.
My back felt great last night, and we did a bunch of forward bends to stretch the other way, but when I woke up this morning, my back really ached - it even hurts to laugh!

Hey Fit - Saw this online and wanted to challenge you. It's a cross between a headstand and a handstand. Looks tough.

Hi Fit, I have been practicing yoga on my own for years, and I love it all . . .

What do you think? This pose is a little different than the one you had in mind.
In your picture, that guy's head was on the ground - and it's called Eka Pada Viparita Dansana.

Yoga —it’s no longer just for patchouli-scented spiritual folks and those highly in tune with Eastern practices. Chances are, you have already tried it or even have friends who don't stop talking about how much they love it. Last week, I attended a class at my macho, testosterone-filled, weight lifters gym that had more men than women trying to stretch their taut hamstrings into a downward-facing dog.

Need to open up and stretch those tight hips and hamstrings? Not only is this a wonderful sequence to start out with before moving onto deeper poses like backbends, but it's also a great way to warm up before or after a run, hike, or bike ride.

By the way, I'm wearing the Simplicity Pants made by be present.

Thanks for sending me my very 1st Challenge, Beaner.
I love this pose. It's part of 2nd Series in Ashtanga Yoga, which involves a ton of backbends (uh, obviously).
