Most of my life I've often wondered why Thanksgiving seemed to be for many families a trigger word for family dysfuction. Why individuals couldn't just let that disagreement with another family member go for one bloody day and enjoy some good food and conversation with more pleasant family members. I have to keep reminding my self that I'm pragmatic by nature and that is apparently unusual.
I found an article with some helpful tips.
Holidays are meant to be happy, joyous and life-affirming times.

In my short life, I have learned that:
'Friends are like watercolour words, they wash away when it rains;
True friends are printed in ink and, even then, the ink may run.'

ABC News' Jonathan Karl reports:
What does it take to get a wavering senator to vote for health care reform?
Here’s a case study.
On page 432 of the Reid bill, there is a section increasing federal Medicaid subsidies for “certain states recovering from a major disaster.”
The section spends two pages defining which “states” would qualify, saying, among other things, that it would be states that “during the preceding 7 fiscal years” have been declared a “major disaster area.”
I am told the section applies to exactly one state: Louisiana, the home of moderate Democrat Mary Landrieu, who has been playing hard to get on the health care bill.

Hi all,
I am hoping I can get some useful advice, b/c I am very ambivalent about this situation. So I met a guy at a mutual friend's birthday party 2 1/2 months ago. We hit off instantly.

Pharmacists are obliged to dispense the Plan B pill, even if they are personally opposed to the "morning after" contraceptive on religious grounds, a federal appeals court ruled Wednesday.
In a case that could affect policy across the western U.S., a supermarket pharmacy owner in Olympia, Wash., failed in a bid to block 2007 regulations that required all Washington pharmacies to stock and dispense the pills.
Family-owned Ralph's Thriftway and two pharmacists employed elsewhere sued Washington state officials over the requirement.

FDA expands access to Plan B for 17-year-olds
Agency will allow drug to be sold over the counter to minors
WASHINGTON - The Food and Drug Administration says it will allow 17-year-olds to get the ‘morning-after’ birth control pill without a doctor’s prescription.
The FDA said Wednesday it will not appeal a federal judge’s order overturning restrictions that were imposed during the Bush administration.

Okay, I feel *really stupid asking this, and I'm probably just being paranoid, but I want opinions.
I'm on Seasonique, which is the extended regimen pill where you get 4 periods a year. Thursday night I took my pill at 9PM, the same time I always do.
