So a lot has happened since I first pondered whether or not I should jump the Chanel ship and give mineral makeup a whirl. A lot of it has to do with my ailing bank account (and angry husband), as well as a healthy curiosity, which can be expected of any BPJ!
After thoroughly enjoying the free sample kit, I decided to take the plunge and order some Everyday Minerals products- at $32 for the six product Personal Custom Kit (which, by the way, is still less expensive than Chanel concealer...

So after much discussion and consideration, I ordered a free sample kit from Everyday Minerals to see what this mineral makeup craze is really all about.
I received three different foundations (Olive Medium in original glo, Olive Medium in intensive, Golden Medium in original glo), one concealer (Multi-tasking) and one blush (Deep Wine). I ultimately decided on these by checking out the "Get This Look" page on the Web site and picking the products on the model with a similar skin tone to my own.

Hey guys - everyone on here has been so helpful and awesome anytime I've had a makeup question, so I decided to ask for y'alls opinions on mineral makeup.
Right now, I'm using Everyday Minerals (I previously used BE) and I notice that, while using MMU, I am SUPER oily. Like, Exxon-Valdez oily.

So, I still haven't converted to mineral makeup- just lazy and using up what I have at home in liquid foundation that I am already pretty happy using.
I did get this email from totalbeauty.com (I must have signed up for it somewhere).
I am including the link below because it has an interesting quiz to take as well as comparison of popular mineral makeup out there and what users thought when they compared them.

I have been Bare Mineral SPF 30 Natural Sunscreen for a few days now and I love it! Living in South Florida, where the sun shines even when the weather gets chilly, I must wear sunscreen all year long, but I simply H-A-T-E that beachy scent and sticky residue that most of sunblock lotions leave.
So when I saw this product on TV, I thought that it was a great idea, particularly to use on my chest, neck, arms and hands.
