Cop with cornrows pulled from street duty

To get booted off the street, a police officer has to do something pretty serious - like shoot a suspect or be accused of brutality.
But in the 35th District, which covers Logan, Olney and adjacent neighborhoods, apparently a hairdo will do it.
A cop who got cornrows was ordered off the street and kept on desk duty for two days until he cut his braids off, sources said.

C'mon, everyone knows the hullabaloo surrounding President Barack Obama is bigotry in action. The administration's policy initiatives couldn't possibly provoke any authentic anger or protest.
Proving this dastardly motive, on the other hand, has been problematic.

Today’s consumer price index dropped for the fifth consecutive month. This is part of the unwinding of the great oil shock that was an important, if overlooked, factor in the current economic downturn.
I noticed today that there is not much talk about the CPI amidst the hullabaloo of the government effectively nationalizing Citigroup and the Bank of America.
