The kitchen at Donald Trump's Maison l'Amitie house. There's a gargantuan fountain in the driveway out front and 475 feet of oceanfront out back.

Sent to me by my dear and wise friend Sharon.
by Robert Peterson
She was six years old when I first met her on the beach near where I live.
I drive to this beach, a distance of three or four miles, whenever the world
begins to close in on me.

this is what I intend to wear at my best friend's dissertation and graduation ceremony next Saturday morning. I'm quite insecure about it so I feel a little advice from you could do no wrong... what do you think?

As the nights are growing colder (for some of us) I was wondering how to keep Baby J warm without putting blankets on her OR jacking up our heat and thus gas bill. I tried warmer fleece sleepers but that didn’t work. I tried putting an undershirt and socks on then a fleece sleeper but again she’d wake up cold.

So, meet my new slouchy cardigan! Isn't it the best? I love wrapping myself in it if I'm cold.

Traditional Filipino Comfort Food
I've been feeling a bit under the weather (and it may have something to do with all the fun in the sun this past Memorial Day weekend...) so I made a traditional Filipino soup dish - I find it pretty simple and oh so GOOD when you need a little pick-me-up.
What you'll need:
(with help from Pinoy Mix)
1 whole chicken (cut into parts or choice cuts of breast, thighs or wings)
2 1/2 cups young papaya or chayote [I only used 1 chayote]
1/2 cup chilli pepper leaves
5 cups water [it depends on how much broth you want]
2 tablespoons ginger (chopped)
1/2 head garlic (minced)
1 medium onion (diced)
3 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons patis/fish sauce
pinch of salt and pepper (to taste)
rice (optional)
Directions:

Tonight, at 7:30, my husband and I are attending a recital at a local high school. The son of one of his business partners has a solo and it is a very big deal to the parents as well as the boy. We are going to show support.
