Oct 15 2009 - 3:00pm Michael Pollan's
food rules and the news that we're
not eating enough fruits and veggies has me inspired. I'm resolving to always make conscious food choices that will improve my diet.
One tip I learned from
Chow is to eat things that don't have a label.

Unrelated but eek, looking at the photo - $9.99/lb for Asparagus? Organically grown, but still. Yikes?
1Yeah, actually most of my food doesn't have labels on it. Apples, carrots, lettuce, spinach, eggs, fish, tomatoes, broccoli, celery, onions, etc....most of that stuff doesn't have labels on it. Some of the things I eat do have labels, but it's only because they are packaged as oppposed to being bulk (like nuts and stuff like that).
Oh, and I sincerely hope you aren't paying $9.99/lb for asparagus...I always only buy it at the farmer's market in season for about $2 a bunch.
2It's funny... but now that we're out of summer, I'm not really eating enough fruits or veggies, a lot of protein though. Weird.
