Both meat and alcohol made health headlines recently, and the news was not good. In light of new studies linking both to cancer, ff you had to choose one to abstain from would you give up all meat (meat, poultry and fish) or alcohol (the hard stuff, wine and beer)?

I just put myself through one hectic health care week. I went to the dentist, my OB/Gyn for my annual visit, and the optometrist. It was busy, but great to check all those appointments off my list.

OK ladies. Going to the Gynecologist and spreading eagle in a paper dress for a pap smear and breast check can be totally unpleasant. While you're strapped into those stirrups, you've got to love all those personal questions too, like "Do you suffer from vaginal dryness?"

Valerie Bertinelli dramatically transformed her body over the last couple of years, and to help others find success, she made a new fitness video, Valerie Bertinelli — Losing It and Keeping Fit ($15). It's led by her personal trainer Christopher Ross Lane, who has also trained Jillian Michaels.

I know the title of this poll seems a little bit morbid, but recent reports out of the UK are saying that only 38% of people said they would do more exercise if their life depended on it. So that means that if a doctor were to say, "You need to start exercising or you could die," the majority of people would still not exercise.
I am hoping that all you fabulous FitSugar readers have a different view on exercising, so...
