Last Sunday held a once-in-year-event, the Super Bowl, which made me think about my favorite football movies ever. The '90s flick Varsity Blues is definitely one of them, so for this week's installment of buzz lines, I wanted to hear your favorite quotes from the James Van Der Beek flick! Ali Larter Eats the Whipped Cream Too!

I've been a fan of Ali Larter ever since her whipped cream bikini days in Varsity Blues. She's popular, but not over exposed. She's trim, but not overly skinny. Basically, she seems healthy. Go figure! Larter graces the October 2007 cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine and gives them the scoop on her life, but most fittingly, on how she approaches food and fitness.

Here are a few highlights:

Another issue where Larter is equally brazen: Her approach to diet, especially given Hollywood's rigid standards for female stars. "I love wine, bread and cheese," she says in the interview. "I just have to cut out the bread sometimes."

Larter, who characterizes her approach to food as being "just like every other girl," explains that it's all about moderation and balance. "Last night, I drank some Merlot and made potatoes au gratin with a rib-eye steak," she says. "It was amazing. I hope to always find that balance."

Her sense of moderation also translates into her exercise regimen. Put simply, Larter tells the magazine, "I don't want exercising to take over my life completely." So to stay fit, she takes runs and hikes with her dogs.

Jason Segel Was Almost the Star of Varsity Blues

If you were a Dawson's Creek fan, chances are good that you caught James Van Der Beek in Varsity Blues, a 1999 high school drama about the pride and peril of playing for a football team in Texas. But would the film have been the same if it had been Jason Segel uttering the line "I don't want your life" instead of Van Der Beek? On Letterman last night, Segel explains that he was very close to nailing the role before Dawson stepped in. (Bonus: he also discusses what drove him to drop 25 lbs. after filming Bad Teacher.) 2011 New York Fall Fashion Week: Rag & Bone

The Rag & Bone show is massive, and it has to be considering its loyal following of editors, It girls and boys, supermodels like Erin Wasson and Jessica Stam - who watch from the front row instead of walking - and ultra cool celebs like Alexa Chung. The Thom Yorke soundtrack suggested a dark and serious show, but what ended up coming down the runway was a rather madcap hunting expedition in the Scottish Highlands. At least that's what I thought until I got the scoop from designer Marcus Wainwright after the show. There were plaid kilts, lots of leather trim, sculpted shift dresses, leg warmers, and even a varsity jacket to keep it sporty. It was a much more rugged collection than last Fall, but there were some luxurious pieces, like an ivory shearling hooded vest and a slew of fantastic leather platform boots.

Trends: Shearling, leather trim, fur sleeves, varsity jackets, '70s ski, Scottish Highland chic, Eskimo.

Buzz Time Machine: Chris Evans Takes It Off For Not Another Teen Movie

Chris Evans shows off his super-buff bod in this week's What's Your Number?, but it's hardly the first time the actor has showed off his studly physique. In fact, he bared all (and got a little kinky) for one of his first big movie roles. How could we forget this memorable scene from Not Another Teen Movie, where Evans's character, Jake, tries to re-create the infamous whipped cream bikini from Varsity Blues? Watch as he turns himself into a human banana split, cherries and all.

Prada Spring 2012

Miuccia Prada revved it up in more ways than one for Prada's Spring collection in a runway show, named "Women and Car Engines," adorned with giant toy cars referenced to show the Italian man's (stereotypical) love for women and cars. Only Prada can show this meaning in a sweet '50s-themed story showing diaphanous high-waist pleated skirts paired with bandeau tops, lace-print car coats, and varsity jackets. Furthering her car theme were adorable retro car prints - think Chevrolets and Cadillacs - and flame-whipped patterns splayed across skirts and blouses. We especially loved Miuccia's leather pencil skirt adorned with an old-school automobile. Meanwhile, rhinestone-embellished one-piece swimsuits added a sultry touch to her sweet and sexy theme. "Cheerful and witty" was how Miuccia described her collection, and we couldn't agree more. More details from the amazing collection below.
