Under Armour's New Bra Fits, Flatters, and Supports

Some women search high and low for the perfect sports bra, but for me, I'll pretty much wear anything. I mean, having a structured, supportive bra doesn't matter that much if you're not exactly well-endowed, right? That's until I thought, until I tried Under Armour's new compression Armour Bra ($58).

The company talked to athletes and experts alike to construct what they term the perfect sports bra, made for high-impact activities, and structured to fit like it was made specifically for the wearer. Instead of buying a general size (small, medium, or large), you choose the Armour Bra by your normal bra size. Each cup size has been thoughtfully constructed to give you shape, support, and compression without feeling too constricting, like sling support and different back designs depending on the needs for your cup size; the B-cup bra I reviewed has a racerback design with an keyhole opening for extra ventilation, while the D sizes, for example, feature a U-shape back (see above).

Like many brides-to-be, Vanessa Minnillo is stepping up her fitness game before the big day. The star, who became engaged to Nick Lachey in November, has been working out three times a week with celeb trainer Gunnar Peterson. At a recent Under Armour event for its new Charged Cotton activewear, Vanessa told InTouch Weekly that she and Gunnar have been working out hard and that he trains her "like an athlete." She's still eating the kinds of food she wants, like pizza, but practicing portion control. Most of all it seems like Vanessa has a healthy attitude: "I am happy with where my body is now. I am happy in general, and I think it's all connected."

It looks like Lo Bosworth may have picked up the same love for boxing that her bestie Lauren Conrad has. Lo showed off her skills with the gloves at the first "Muscle Milk Light" women's fitness retreat. Besides boxing, the reality star also practiced some yoga. Other celebs like Kat Von D and Karina Smirnoff also stopped by to sweat it out in their Under Armour gear (one of the event's sponsors).

Gear Review: Revenant Running Shoe by Under Armour

Known for its sturdy workout wear, Under Armour is adding shoes to its repertoire. I just took the stability sneaker, UA Revenant ($120), out for a couple of test runs, and I mean that literally. After wearing them around the house for some light cleaning, I wore them for a long jog on the road. They felt great. Supportive and well cushioned, the Revenant is designed to prevent overpronation, rolling too far to the inside of the foot, something I am prone to doing. I felt as if I could feel the shoes steering me toward the outside of the foot and I appreciated the help.

I also tested them on the treadmill and again they felt great. They fit really well, felt cushioned in all the right places, and my feet didn't overheat as they sometimes can when running indoors. Never having worn sneakers with pink on them, I will admit I like the feminine hot pink accents. The mesh fabric is gray, or as Under Armour refers to it, "smoked pearl," so the shoes are not glaring white.
