For someone who tells catwalk hopefuls to "smile with their eyes," Tyra Banks looks a little like a wax figure of herself at Fashion Rocks. As I'm sure you're all aware of the unfortunate hair situation going on here, let's look beyond that for a moment, and appreciate her glossy, cherry lips and well-applied false lashes. As a whole, she might have overdone things, but that's not really a surprise. Do you like the look she's going for?

John Edwards Talks to Tyra About Losing Son

Tyra Banks mixed multiple runway makeup trends for her look at the 2012 Moth Ball, featuring metallics, smoky eyes, and a bright lip shade. But it was the modeling maven's avant-garde eye makeup techniques that truly made an impression. A deep charcoal shadow extended to her brow bone and diffused outward for a winged shape, while gold dust accents along the lash lines picked up the bronze flecks in Tyra's dress. It was all topped off with a fuchsia lipstick and boho-style braid. Much applause for Tyra's risk-taking ways, but what do you think of her edgy style?

America's Next Top Model has a new cycle starting Feb. 23, but that's not all Tyra Banks has going on. She's also taking her modeling experience and work as a judge on ANTM and channeling it into a new venture, a website called Type F. The site is supposed to focus on fashion and beauty, but when it comes to what the name means exactly, Tyra's a little more open to interpretation. She tells People, "I connect to fierce - that's what it means to me. But it allows for women to define themselves. It can mean fashionable, fashion-forward, feisty." And earlier today while making an appearance at the New York Stock Exchange, Tyra Banks took her own twist on the trend, sporting some black, waterlined eyes encircled with steely blue shadow. Coffee-toned lipstick and plenty of warm bronzer completed the look, setting off the blue to make it pop even more.
