Friday night the entertainment world united to Stand Up To Cancer. The telethon took place on both coasts and aired on CBS, ABC and NBC. Prior to the event there was a red carpet in LA at Kodak Theatre.

Sometimes it might seem as though my heart is made of snark, but really, when celebrities get together to raise money for a good cause, I just have to stand in awe of their power. That's why I'm curious to see tonight's Stand Up to Cancer telethon, which will be broadcast on ABC, CBS, NBC, and E! starting at 8 p.m.

Most likely, cancer has affected everybody in one way or another, which is why it's so important that we bind together to find a cure. But it's not just your own efforts to stay healthy that will keep cancer out of your life. You should also think about the greater cause.
