You Asked: How Do I Keep My Cleavage and Not the Pounds?

You're asking and I'm answering.

"Hey Fit!
I've just started working out and I have a few friends who totally lost their boobs after they lost weight. I know this is totally vain of me, but I kind of like my bra size now. Is there anything I can do so that I don't drop cup sizes as I'm hopefully dropping the pounds?"
- Endowed Emma

This question is great on so many levels and while I have never had the joy of being well-endowed, I do understand your concern completely. To see what I have to say on this matter

.

I wish I had better news for you but here is the truth: Just like you can't spot reduce areas on your body, you also can't spot save either. In other words, the body doesn't let you pick and choose which parts you lose the fat from. (If that were the case, my thighs and cleavage would be glorious.) In fact, where your body chooses to draw fat from for fuel generally depends on genetics. Try and look on the bright side; while you can't keep the pounds from leaving your chest, you can keep it looking toned by adding a few strength moves into your gym routine. I recommend moves that work your pecs such as push ups, planks, chest presses, and flies.

Have you recently lost a lot of weight, which included your chest area? Share below.

Test your knowledge and see if you can separate fact from fiction.

Save Your Money: The Chin Gym

I was watching some old Ellen (I know, I am obsessed with her) videos the other day and came across her mom, Betty, trying out "As Seen on TV" fitness contraptions. One product, the Chin Gym, caught my eye as I thought there was no way this product existed but I was wrong, it does exist.

The Chin Gym ($39.95) is basically a really complicated looking contraption that promises to reduce the double chin and define the jaw line by trimming, toning, strengthening and removing wrinkles from chin, neck and jaw line muscles. Here is the deal, the only thing really able to rewind the effects of aging and gravity is plastic surgery if you are willing to go that far. If you're looking to remove excess fat from your facial area, unfortunately there is no real way to spot reduce target areas like your chin or your back. I know I may sound like a broken record, but it is true: Exercise and eating a healthy blanced diet are the only real ways to get rid of fat (without going under the knife) including your chin and back. If, despite my attempts to talk you out of spending your money on this contraption, you still want to try it out, diyhut.com.

Want to laugh at Ellen's mom trying it out? Then,

Can't Shake Those Last 10 Pounds? Freeze Away Your Fat

If you've dieted and exercised but can't seem to get rid of your stubborn muffin top or saddlebags, the FDA-approved CoolSculpting treatment may be for you. Developed by Harvard scientists, the nonsurgical and painless weight loss procedure essentially freezes your fat away without damaging your skin. It's not helpful for big weight loss but may be perfect for those struggling with resistant areas they want to spot treat.

A noninvasive applicator sucks on the area being treated, and for an hour your fat cells are lowered to a temperature that kills them but leaves your skin cells unharmed. As a result, the fat cells stop working and are metabolized over time - it takes two to four months to see a 20 percent reduction in fat in the treated area. Patients will experience a firm pulling sensation, intense cold, and pressure during the procedure and mild bruising afterward, but there's no recovery time necessary.
