I do believe firmly in snacking and think it's losing its bad reputation. No longer perceived as a way to ruin mealtime, snacking can boost your metabolism and help you through that mid-day slump. Regardless of how you feel about snacking, are you a snack master?

I'm a huge fan of snacks, especially before or after working out. They give you energy, satisfy cravings, and keep your hunger at bay until mealtimes. I always try to go for snacks that are 300 calories or less, but since snacks don't always come with labels, it can be hard to tell how many calories you're actually consuming.

Sedative Hypnotic Drug Warnings
In March 2007, the FDA ordered stronger warning labels on sedative hypnotic drugs. These medications include benzodiazepine and non-benzodiazepine drugs, such as zolpidem (Ambien), eszopiclone (Lunesta), ramelteon (Rozerem), and triazolam (Halcion). The FDA warned that these drugs may be associated with:
- Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) and severe facial swelling (angioedema), which can occur even the first time a drug is taken
- Complex sleep-related behaviors, such as sleep driving, making phone calls, and preparing and eating food while asleep
Patients who take sleeping pills should be sure to follow the directions.

There is so much nutritional information out there to process and at times it just gets overwhelming. Since, March is National Nutrition month I thought I would go see a nutritionist to help me weed through all the information and get some personalized info too. Let me tell you it was a pretty cool experience.
