Even if you're all for swapping clothes with friends, I bet you have a friend or two that thinks she wears the same size as you when she clearly doesn't! If you're like me, you take good care of your things, so lending your favorite top or dress to a friend with a bigger chest or wider hips just isn't an option. But how do you say yes to some people and no to others? Is there a polite way, or am I being too finicky about my clothing? Where do you stand on lending clothes to friends that are bigger than you?

One of the perks of being pregnant was filling out dresses and shirts like I'd never done before.

My curvy chest began to swell during the nine months of pregnancy and increased while I nursed. After weaning my babe, I deflated big time - resembling the barren plains of Texas rather than the Swiss Alps.

While some people claim to have more voluptuous tatas after the whole delivery and breastfeeding process, most mamas I know are like me – smaller than they were at the starting point.

Diet Tip: Quality and Quantity

In many people's minds "DIET" is a four letter word, if you know what I mean. So, instead of dieting, these folks just decide to eat "healthy." Which I must say I commend. However, if you are trying to lose weight you have to look at both the quality and the quantity of the food you are consuming.

For instance we all know that nuts are good for us, but if you are trying to lose weight you need to keep the portion small since they are high in fat. One handful a day is plenty, and I have read that if you are trying to lose weight, to only eat nuts every other day.

With this in mind, I urge you to measure out your food for a while, to really become acquainted with portion sizes. A serving of Kashi Go Lean is a cup; so pour the cereal into a measuring cup before pouring it into a bowl. Do the same with milk. This way you know that you are eating the recommended serving size and how many calories you are consuming. The same with pasta, and I might add, if you are shooting for both quality and quantity it should really be whole wheat pasta since it has so much beneficial fiber in it.

While you are pondering how you eat, remember to focus on all those fruits and veggies you can add into you diet not what you have to eliminate.

A Love Advice Columnist Has a Major Crush (on Her Home!)

Advice columnists are used to answering questions - though usually not about themselves. Today, love advice columnist Wendy Atterberry of Dear Wendy is revealing her crushes and love for all things home-related. Wendy lives in Brooklyn, NY, with her husband, Drew, their baby boy, Jackson, and their two cats, Simone and Miles (who make a cameo in the photos here). Keep reading to see what Wendy has to say about why she's majorly crushing on her home.

What she most loves about her home:

It's a tie for my favorite spot in my home between my bedroom (and specifically, my bed), and my "china cabinet" wall. My husband, Drew, and I painted all the walls in our place, inspired by the colors of the beach, so I love the shades of green in both spots. We have a king-size bed, which feels like a luxury, and I love Sunday mornings when all five of us - Drew, our new baby Jackson, our two cats, Miles and Simone, and I - all pile in the bed and read books, nap, and talk. Drew and I love to travel, so above our bed we framed postcards of all the places we've traveled together in the nearly six years we've known one another. The china cabinet in my other favorite spot of the apartment belonged to my great-great-grandparents and I just love it. It's filled with lots of glassware for entertaining, which is something we enjoy doing. Everything else in that spot is a second-hand buy, found at garage sales or thrift stores, with the exception of the gray wool blanket on the bench, which I found somewhere online.

What others love most about her home:

Probably our "bar," which is usually pretty well-stocked thanks to generous friends who bring bottles of stuff whenever we have get-togethers. People also comment that our place is "cozy," which could also be a euphemism for "small," but here in New York where most places are tiny, I like to think it's a genuine compliment.

What she'd love to add to her home:

Luckily, we already have most everything I'd want in a home - a walk-in closet, a big bathtub, a dishwasher, central air, and a washer and dryer. We even have a large balcony, which is pretty awesome in the warmer seasons. But if I could wave a magic wand and make this truly my dream home, I'd add one more bedroom (and maybe an elevator!); our second bedroom - now our baby's room - is awfully small and one day we'll outgrow this place, which will be sad. More realistically, I'd love to change the light fixture in the dining area, which is pretty ugly. We're renters, so it doesn't make sense to put any more money into the place, but if we owned, that would be the first - and maybe only thing - I'd change. Oh, and more original artwork. Oh, and a hammock! If only money were no object . . .

How to Throw a Moneyball-Themed Oscar Party

It may not be baseball season quite yet, but you can get that feeling if you throw an Oscar viewing party and let best picture nominee Moneyball be your inspiration. The film might even make for a better theme than Midnight in Paris or The Artist, depending on your crowd. Here's how to score a home run at your Oscar gathering (and don't forget to fill out a ballot for a chance to win an iPad.)

How to decorate: Bring out baseballs, bats, gloves, and any other sports memorabilia you may have. String up streamers in green and yellow (the Oakland A's colors), and nod to the movie's financial theme by decorating with fake dollar bills. If you really want to tie in the film, get a life-size Brad Pitt cutout (which wouldn't be a bad thing to have around, anyway).
How to dress: Wear the shirt of your baseball team of choice, but to really mirror the film, rock Oakland A's gear, or at least their colors.
What to serve: Traditional ballpark fare like hot dogs, beer, cotton candy, and peanuts in the shell, of course. Bake cookies or cake pops and frost them to look like baseballs.

Jill Stuart's feminine interpretation of Fall was a botanical experience blooming with florals in all shapes and sizes. The show, attended by stylish celebs like Olivia Palermo and Nikki Reed, highlighted the designer's unapologetic feminine flair, with pretty party dresses - the floral dresses with the delicate lace detailing and Peter Pan-collared little black dresses were the highlights of the show - and luxe ladylike outerwear. Adding a modern effect were leather touches throughout; pencil skirts featured leather panels and coats were trimmed with thin leather piping. The latter showed an outstanding leather-trimmed navy coat paired with trousers, floral top, and fur collar. We can already see the front-row celeb attendees checking off their wish list . . .
