Recently we've been looking into the reasons we don't like exercise and trying to turn that dislike into like. Here is a recap, in case you missed any of them so far:
- Part I: "I feel out of place at the gym and have no idea what to do."
- Part II: "I used to workout all the time and loved the way it made me feel, but then I just stopped for some reason."
- Part III: "I don't like to sweat."
- Part IV: "I don't like the muscle soreness that I get two days after working out."
- Part V: "Once I'm working out I'm fine, but it's getting motivated to go that's the hard part."

Last night on Shaq's Big Challenge, we saw the trials and tribulations of working with kids.
This episode illustrated that kids are difficult to focus and are mainly interested in only doing "fun" things -- Sounds like a few adults I know. Shaq lead the students of Broward County School in a round of morning exercises (a 20 min morning exercise program he was trying to implement in schools).

Last night on The Biggest Loser we saw Adrian (despite her whining and fussing) get kicked off the ranch. But there are two really great things that we can take from the episode:
The contestants had to pack the total number of weight they lost back onto their bodies and then run a mile -- so each contestant went back to weighing the same number they did when they came to the ranch. They were all amazed at how being overweight had hindered their lives in the past.

Last night on The Biggest Loser, we all watched Marty, the sweet positive teacher Marty, get kicked off the ranch. Showing us that once again, the show is more than just helping people to lose weight, it's a game.
All that aside and before nice Marty got sent home, the contestants were rewarded for all their hard work with a makeover and photo-shoot from Prevention Magazine.

My emotions went through the ringer once again during "The Biggest Loser" last night. The folks on the Red Team got to make a call home as the result of winning a challenge, which resulted in seeing grown men cry, which resulted in leaving me a blubbery mess. That is, however, not the point of this post.

After watching all the contestants sweat and cry almost every week this Fall on The Biggest Loser Families, we finally got to meet the biggest loser. The live finale show began with an exciting reveal, the host Alison Sweeny is pregnant, something my husband and I began wondering in the last couple of episodes. She was glowing, as were all the contestants.

This week's episode of Biggest Loser Families is all about looking back and moving on — often quite literally. For their challenge, the four remaining contestants come together at a racetrack — not the sort of track we're used to. Ali instructs Ed, Heba, Vicky, and Michelle to suit up by strapping on the amount of weight each contestant has lost; they then had to run the track, recalling what that weight felt like.
