ExerciseTV: Post Flight Stretches

Travel much? Try these easy stretches for when you get off the plane. They will help revitalize your travel weary body by opening up your chest and shoulders. Since the busiest travel day of the year is approaching I wanted to share this video I found over on ExerciseTV. They were generous enough to share this video with me and to sponsor this post.

David Beckham's Road to the Olympics Starts in Greece

David Beckham visited the Experimental University School in Athens, Greece, today before traveling to the UK with the official Olympic torch. David, Princess Anne, and various Olympic officials boarded an Airbus dubbed Firefly and embarked on a four-hour flight with the Olympic torch, bound for an airfield in Culdrose, Cornwall. Expressing his gratitude and excitement, David posted a heartfelt message on his Facebook wall, "What an incredible moment, very proud day for me and so excited for the country."

The torch will make its way across the UK during a 70-day relay before returning to London for the Summer Games opening ceremony. It's been a week full of memorable events for David. David and the LA Galaxy were honored at the White House on Tuesday for their MLS Cup win, and in addition to bringing the torch to his home country, he was also nominated in the category of choice male athlete at this year's Teen Choice Awards.

3 Tips For Germ-Free Travel

Whether you're going by boat, plane, train, or automobile, travel bugs are bound to greet you. Here, some cringe-worthy stats on germs and traveling - and tips on how you can take a trip unscathed.

Stay Hydrated

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the air inside planes has anywhere from 10 to 20 percent humidity, which can dry out mucous membranes and make people more susceptible to germs. Staying hydrated throughout the trip can prevent nasal passages from being irritated, so load up on water and skip the carbonated beverages and booze. "Alcoholic and caffeinated drinks should be followed with water or fruit juice to rehydrate because they are diuretics and can cause water loss," advise Ray Fillmore Garman, MD, MPH, and Susan Spengler, MD, both associate professors with the Department of Preventive Medicine at the University of Kentucky. Sipping on water assists with immune function - and in some cases even helps with jet lag. For longer, international trips pack electrolyte-friendly snacks like GU Energy Chomps, a banana, nuts, or a small bag of fortified cereal to keep drowsiness at bay.

Rihanna Strikes a Pretty Pose at a Magazine Shoot

Rihanna was all done up Saturday to do a magazine shoot in Malibu. The images are bound for Harper's Bazaar and the singer was excited about her first ever spread in the magazine. She struck a pose in a white gown with a thigh-high slit and also modeled a gold dress. Rihanna tweeted, "I did my first Harper's Bazaar cover today!" She didn't have long to dwell on the West Coast, though. Once the cameras were packed, Rihanna had to tend to her own luggage. She boarded a flight to NYC, where she arrived this morning and posted on Instagram, "NYC, it's on." The traveling comes at a busy time for Rihanna. In addition to performing at the first weekend of Coachella, she's also in the middle of a press tour for Battleship. After traveling to Japan and Australia with the movie, Rihanna's now prepping for the US release on May 18.

Victoria Beckham Shows Her "Real" Side in Fun New Travel Snaps

Victoria Beckham had quite a time traveling from LA to China yesterday! She shared pictures of the journey, including a stop in Hong Kong. In the funniest image, Victoria posed alongside a flight attendant. She tweeted, "Cabin crew prepare for landing! Welcome to Beijing!" She also later posted a photo of all the clothes she packed for the trip.

Posh headed off on the business trip after a fun week with family. Victoria Beckham turned 38 on Tuesday, and in celebration, indulged in a fruit plate while marking the occasion with friends and family. Victoria also launched her Facebook page on her birthday. She recently spoke about her online interactions with WWD, and she explained why so many people seem to enjoy following her updates. Victoria said, "It's been a really interesting experience. I would imagine some of the growth can be linked to the fact that I try to give some personal insights to my followers as well as keeping them abreast of the business. I also think that my fans and customers really get to know me and my sense of humor through my tweets. I think people see the real me."

Danny Seo Celebrates Earth Day With a One Kings Lane Tastemaker Sale to Benefit Charity

Late last year, I had the privilege to sit down with one of the co-founders of One Kings Lane, Ali Pincus, and talk about our favorite places to shop, how I'm addicted to the home shopping site, and to talk about ways I could get involved with One Kings Lane. We came up with the idea for me to do a TasteMaker tag sale where I could collect some of my favorite vintage and antique items from my home and put them up for sale on the site. I agreed under one condition: if we could donate the proceeds to my favorite charity, Baby Buggy.

Baby Buggy, in case you aren't familiar, is the wonderful nonprofit founded by Jessica Seinfeld that has the motto "Love, Recycled." It's so appropriate because they accept lightly used baby gear, clothes, and new baby and children essentials to help families in the greatest need. They are a clearinghouse of sorts that works with a network of nonprofits who call Baby Buggy with a wish list of goods they desperately need. And like a fairy godmother, Baby Buggy always comes to the rescue. With the proceeds from this sale, Baby Buggy will be able to buy the most needed essentials to help families in need. In the spirit of Earth Day, selling vintage and antique items is green for Mother Earth since it's reusing what already exists; the sale proceeds will coincidentally help many mothers here on Earth.

In this special CasaSugar post, I'm excited to give you a sneak peek at three items for sale and the unique story behind them. I've traveled the world for work and always found time to visit out-of-the-way antique stores, flea markets, and galleries to search for beautiful things. I hope whoever buys these goodies will cherish them as much as I have over the years.

Indian ArrowHead Collection When I was filming my TV show "Simply Green with Danny Seo" (all episodes on Hulu now), I made a point to visit a small antique store in the sleepy town of Point Pleasent, PN. Down an alley and past a blacksmith shop (of all things!), I found a little antiques store that was going out of business. Rummaging through box after box, I came across a collection of mounted arrowheads, all hand mounted on colorful felt with a hand pounded metal backing in glossy black frames. What I loved about these pieces is that clearly someone had scavenged the woods of Pennsylvania for each arrowhead, cleaned them, and displayed them in a very beautiful and interesting pattern. I also love the pop of color in the background.

Baby Shower 411: Your Top Questions Answered

Since there are just as many types of baby showers as there are moms-to-be, the etiquette behind hosting such an event can be a challenge. From who to invite, to how to invite them, and what to actually do once you're there, the range of "what's appropriate" varies depending on the honoree and her family/social circle, but there are some basic guidelines that everyone can adhere to. Here's our best advice:

When should the shower be held?
Typically, a shower is held four to six weeks before the baby's due date. This allows for some "wiggle room" in the event of any unexpected complications. If the mom-to-be has to travel for her shower, it's appropriate to host it even earlier, as most doctors advise staying close to home during the end of the third trimester.

Who should host the shower?
The honoree's close family or friends are typically the hostesses. Nowadays, couples showers have become increasingly popular, so your shower needn't be limited to just women (though we suggest switching up the dynamic from a luncheon or tea to an evening event or barbecue if men are included). Historically, it was considered self-serving to have the honoree's mom or mother-in-law host her shower, since there's gift-giving involved. But the practice has become much more widely accepted, and no one will bat an eye if they receive an invite from a proud grandma-to-be.

Who's invited?
This completely depends on the size of the event, but it's generally appropriate to include family, friends, and co-workers - anyone who's excited about the lil one on the way. There are varied opinions about the appropriateness of inviting long-distance guests who would have to purchase a flight or make a lengthy journey to attend the shower. We're in favor of including them as a gesture, but making sure that they don't feel obligated to attend. You may want to include a short, handwritten note, or follow up with a phone call letting these guests know that they're more than welcome, but not expected, to make the trip.
