Mar 2 2010 - 12:00pm With all the burgers, beers, and EVOO Rachael Ray downs, I've always wondered how she stays so fit — I'm sure constantly being on the go helps. Just this week, Rachael was in Miami hosting her Burger Bash as part of the Food Network's annual South Beach Wine and Food Festival (SBWFF). And while I wasn't as lucky as Yum to sample the fare, I did get to read all about Rachael's exercise secrets in People.
Good for her! I work around food a lot too and know how difficult it can be to stay in shape. But I hope she's incorporating some strength training into her workout to balance all that
cardio.
She does look a little slimmer these days. If you watch some of the reruns of her cooking show from a couple of years ago, she definitely had more junk in the trunk then. I think she's got a
good handle on getting healthy: eat whole, REAL foods and don't obsess about how many calories are in things. It sounds like she didn't really change how she ate; she just added more cardio
to her routine. Good for her!
I think she's kind of a hippocrate...because before she did all this I remember her saying that she wears a size 4 or 6 in clothing. Well if she has lost several dress sizes she'd be
non-existant. Oh Rachel, I wish you would've been honest before all your diet and exercise.

1She has also stated over time that she doesn't eat sweets and doesn't crave them at all. I would think that's a big factor as well

3Doesn't crave sweets? Definitely envious.
4She says that her mom never had sweets in the house when she was little so she never became addicted-actually pretty interesting.
Good for her!
5At her demo she mentioned that she got to the gym at 7 am that morning, only to realize the gym didn't open until 8am. She said, "only in Miami!"
