When you finally get the go-ahead from your doc to start exercising after having your baby (usually at about six to eight weeks postpartum), you may find it hard to leave your little one to fit in some exercise. That doesn't mean you have to abandon all hopes for getting your prebaby body back. Here are some must haves for new moms to help you drop the pounds you gained during pregnancy.

As a mother of a nine month old, I've been spending time with lots of mommas lately. I've found that besides chatting about diapers, teething, and lack of sleep, we all tend to mourn over the loss of our pre-pregnancy bods. Even if we did lose the baby weight in the beginning, our busy schedules make it hard to find time to exercise and eat right, so it seems inevitable to gain a pound here and there.

If this sounds familiar, I've put together some tips and reminders to help you get your body back (and keep it!).

Don't finish their meals or snacks. A few extra bites really add up so pack up the leftovers and save them for next time.
Don't eat just because they are. Kids are really active and since they're often too busy to sit down and enjoy a full meal, they end up eating little bits several times a day. That doesn't mean you should reach for a cereal bar too. Stick to your regular eating schedule to avoid consuming extra calories.
Don't use high calorie treats as rewards. You're more likely to end up rewarding yourself as well.

Get the Bod: Tori Spelling Post-Pregnancy

After seeing photos of Jessica Alba's rockin' body just two months after she gave birth, Tori Spelling's initial reaction was disbelief that she, too, would be able to quickly bounce back to her pre-pregnancy weight. Tori had gained 50 pounds during her second pregnancy, and after giving birth just six months ago, the mother of two is sporting a teeny bikini in In Touch magazine.

Six months is longer than the time it took Jessica Alba to shed her baby weight, but losing weight is not a race. This is the mentality that enabled Tori to lose weight healthfully and at her own pace. Here are the highlights from Tori's In Touch bikini feature.

Her diet: While losing weight, Tori didn't count calories but watched what she ate. She said, "Breakfast was yogurt, fruit and nuts. Lunch was homemade soup with a sweet potato or soy milk base. We'd snack on celery and peanut butter, and then I'd make lean protein with vegetables for dinner." Her maintenance plan involves three well-balanced meals each day with snacks in between, and she'll indulge on her cheat days.

For toning, she does three sets of 12 crunches and sit-ups every day, does squats, and lifts weights. Tori is proud that she achieved her goal weight on her own and said, "I'm a working mom of two, so to know that I did it all by myself was huge." Kate Hudson and her son Ryder hopped on their bikes near the beach in Santa Monica yesterday. Ryder sported sunglasses and a helmet while Kate covered up in a hat as they rode around side by side. It was just the latest sunny outing for Kate following a getaway to Mexico earlier this month. Kate's bikini body was on display as she lounged poolside with fiancé Matthew Bellamy, who soaked up the rays while wearing a bathrobe. 2012 hasn't been just about downtime for Kate, though, since she participated in a live reading of her mom Goldie Hawn's movie Shampoo with Bradley Cooper last month and is gearing up to start shooting a new film, Everly, this Spring.

Miranda and Orlando Have a Family Lunch With Flynn

Miranda Kerr dined with her mom, Therese, and her two guys, Flynn and Orlando Bloom, at Potts Point in Sydney earlier today. The foursome smiled as they left the restaurant, and Flynn even got a lift from grandma. Flynn celebrated his first birthday last month, and at the time Miranda said he was just on the cusp of walking. Now, Flynn is starting to strut his stuff like his supermodel mom.

Miranda won't hit the catwalk at New York's Fashion Week, but she will meet with fans in Australia tomorrow to share skincare secrets and suggest Valentine's Day gift ideas. Miranda and Orlando got a jump on the holiday when they lounged poolside with Flynn, sipping champagne and sharing sweet kisses, last week. Adele's Sweep, a Prayer For Whitney Houston, and More 2012 Grammys Highlights

The 2012 Grammy Awards were all about Adele's major wins and the sad passing of Whitney Houston. After a kickoff from Bruce Springsteen, host LL Cool J led a prayer for Whitney and gave a look back at some of her stellar Grammys performances. Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt honored another late musical star, Etta James, with a song. Bonnie and Alicia also presented best pop solo performance to Adele for "Someone Like You." Adele, who suffered from vocal problems for the last year, appropriately thanked her doctors. Further accolades went to Jay-Z and Kanye West, both absent, for best rap song with "Otis," and Dave Grohl's Foo Fighters picked up best rock performance for "Walk." Bon Iver took home best new artist.

Rihanna and Coldplay teamed up for one of the evening's most memorable duets. Her "We Found Love" segued into Coldplay's "Princess of China" and "Paradise." Another highlight was the long-awaited reunion of the Beach Boys, and they brought back their hit "Good Vibrations" with some help from Adam Levine. Taylor Swift won two honors before the proceedings even began, and later went folksy with her stint behind the mic. Katy Perry, taking a different approach, donned a skintight bodysuit for "Part of Me." Katy changed the words to the track, apparently making a dig at her ex Russell Brand.

Adele was back onstage later in the night with her adorable producer, Paul Epworth, to accept song of the year for "Someone Like You." She made her triumphant return to the microphone with her hit, after a glowing introduction from Gwyneth Paltrow, and received a standing ovation from her big fans like Paul McCartney and Rihanna. The track was also crowned record of the year and her 21 was album of the year! A teary Adele raised her new gold, joked about having a snotty nose, and said to her mother, "Mom, girl did good!"

Jennifer Hudson helped wrap things up with a touching Whitney Houston tribute, belting out "I Will Always Love You." The show was officially closed by Paul McCartney with help from his "friends" like Dave Grohl, Joe Walsh, and Bruce Springsteen.
