The day after Halloween I asked you how many pieces of candy you had eaten. Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, I asked you how many pieces of pie you ate throughout that feasting day. So, in keeping with the tradition, there is a question I must ask: I want to know about your champagne consumption on New Year's Eve.

The month of January is typically like the Superbowl for gyms. New Year's resolutions tend to get more people off the couch and into their workout clothes, which creates a more crowded gym experience than usual (especially at peak times). So many holidays have special foods associated with them and now that it is the new year, it is time to say "goodbye" to those sugary candy canes and the chocolate log of goodness Bûche de Noël, and a big "hello" to black eyed peas and cabbage. These two super foods are here to help you usher in a healthy and prosperous 2008.

I know y'all may think I am jumping the gun on this one by bringing up New Year's and all, but I just realized that 2008 is just three months away!
This means you have three months to get your butt into shape so you can look hot-to-trot for that party you may have already gotten tickets for (hey, I lived in NYC at one point in my life, I know how soon you have to plan).
Decide on a health and fitness goal that you'd like to reach for New Year's and plan out how you're going to get there.

Research has found that most people who make a New Year's resolution end up getting off track after just under 80 days, which happens to be in the middle of March (the 18th of March, to be specific). So naturally I am curious about all you guys, are you still following your New Year's resolutions or did you already get off track, and when?
