Exercising before or during your workday will improve your productivity. Adding workouts to your workweek doesn't just help your boss; exercising on a workday helps with stress management and can make you happier.

Many times a bad mood can put us off from going to the gym. But for me, it's my good moods that often keep me from doing my workout.
If I've had a great day at work then I want to go out and have a drink with a pal, or go home and spend time with my husband, not go to the gym.

New research from the University of Pittsburgh has found that omega-3 fatty acids are not only good for your physical health, but also good for your mental health. More specifically, they found that people with lower blood levels of omega-3s were more apt to have a negative outlook and to be more impulsive, while those with higher levels of the fatty acid typically were more agreeable and less likely to be in a bad mood.
So next time you head out for a nice dinner to lighten your mood, order the salmon (instead of vodka on the rocks) to boost your spirits up even more.

It's no lie that Shiva Rea is one of my yoga idols. Considered one of the best Vinyasa yoga instructors due to her calming energy and challenging sequences of postures, Shiva has created a new DVD. You know I was excited to try it.

I have always loved hearing what nutritionist Joy Bauer has to say on the Today Show, because she understands that we all just want to feel good with ourselves. In her book Food Cures she explains what to eat (and when and how) for what's ailing you. From lowering high cholesterol and blood pressure, to improving skin tone, sharpening memory, sleeping better, taking charge of PMS and arthritis to just plain ole' feeling good, there's a food for it.

When I was growing up, I remember being in a bad mood and some stupid boy saying, "Oh, you must be on the rag!" That really pissed me off. Just because I'm not happy does not necessarily mean I have or am getting my period!!
