Lunchtime at work (or school) can be a dieter's hell. While you're sticking to your healthy turkey sandwich and yogurt, your coworkers are brining in yummy Mexican food that makes your mouth water at first sight.
You too can have yummy, but only healthy, dishes for lunch.

Have you heard all the fuss about this new diet, the Lunch Box Diet, which everyone is crazy about? Here are the basics, and it's probably a lot more realistic than you might think.
The Lunch Box Diet, an online diet plan, is a new diet based on buying a large plastic lunch box and filing it with a mix of 60 percent wholesome natural vegetables, 30 percent protein and 10 percent fat.

I'm definitely psyched that the food pyramid I learned about in elementary school was redesigned, but it looks like some people are still into the old horizontal stripes model — hence this Nutritional Pyramid Lunch Box. It's designed to help people make healthier choices when it comes to figuring out how to choose the correct portions of grains, veggies, and protein.
I'm actually surprised no one has thought of this before, but looking at the portions I think I might want more fruits and veggies than rice.

If you are dieting or trying to save some dough, you should really be brown bagging your lunch. Make it at home and take it with you wherever you may roam. You not only save money (sandwiches can be upwards of $7 around where I work), but you also can control your portions and calorie intake.

You've heard about the Lunch Box Diet; well, now there is the Cooler Cleanse. And this one has some celebrity backing. A veteran of the juice fast cleanse, Salma Hayek has used the regimens for more than a decade to prepare for big events, from walking the red carpet to walking down the aisle.

When approaching health and fitness, many of us have the mentality that less is more. While this may be a healthy perspective to avoid overeating and practice portion control, a restrictive diet can wreak havoc on your mood and leave you wondering whether there’s anything out there you can eat. Instead, alter your state of mind: rather than thinking about what foods to cut out, start to think of your daily menu as a chance to add great-tasting, healthy options.

Though I sometimes eat Lean Cuisine products in a pinch, I'm not usually a fan of processed frozen food. A few Lean Cuisine meals arrived at the office the other day, and since I was hungry and strapped for time I thought I would try one with the words "no preservatives" stamped prominently on the box. I chose Five-Cheese Rigatoni, although I don't regularly eat pasta at lunch.

Though I sometimes eat Lean Cuisine products in a pinch, I'm not usually a fan of processed frozen food. But when these Lean Cuisine meals arrived at the office the other day, I recognized the Spa Cuisine Classics box from the 100 healthiest supermarket foods list. (The Chicken With Peanut Sauce was named best frozen dinner.) Better yet, the box proclaimed that the meal was preservative free, so I decided to try it.
