There always seems to be speculation about how a certain celebrity has shed pounds, and the most recent target of the weight-loss rumorville is Lindsay Lohan. The starlet is no stranger to media commentary regarding her body, and the most recent accusation is that LL is on a mostly liquid diet that includes drinking three Red Bulls a day.

There are plenty of reasons for refraining from liquid diets, principally the fact that they can be dangerous due to their tendency to leave a dieter undernourished. I sort liquid diets in with other fad diets that aren't sustainable for long-term weight loss, but many of us are guilty of trying some pretty ridiculous and unhealthy diets in the name of slimming down. Does a liquid diet make your list of abandoned weight loss techniques?

Lindsay Lohan Is Not Trying to Lose Weight

It seems like you can't win for losing, and in this case I literally mean losing weight. Some celebs get scrutinized for gaining pounds, like poor Jessica Simpson, while others reap negative attention for dropping pounds. The Hollywood weight issue du jour is - Lindsay Lohan. Recently, public concern has been raised that Lindsay is losing too much weight. She defends her tiny frame, admitting that she has lost weight but that it "was unintentional." Claiming to be eating just as she always has, Lohan cited the Big Mac she had at McDonald's recently as evidence. She reasons that the weight loss is a side product of working too much, stress, and lack of sleep when traveling. Lindsay said, "I think it's all that stuff that adds up."

Because she claims to never weighs herself, Lohan is not sure how much weight she's lost. She says pressures to be thin in Hollywood aren't on her mind anymore as she is just concerned with being herself, saying that it is important for celebs to "accept yourself for who you are."

Sounds like she may be running herself ragged without really jogging. I hope she takes better care of herself and adds some healthy meals into her daily life.

Big Ballers Drink Hi-Ball

Wanna be a baller? I recently came across this new energy sparkling water called Hi-Ball because rumor has is that A-listers like Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton drink it as a healthier alternative to the other energy drinks, which are often loaded with sugar. So I'm intrigued.

You guys probably already know how I feel about energy drinks, but I was intrigued with the no sugar, no carbs, no artificial additives or sweeteners and only 10 calories per bottle claim. The energy in Hi-Ball comes from a strong cocktail of: caffeine 75mg, guarana 32mg, ginseng 32mg, 1250mg of taurine and B-vitamins.

In case you're wondering, guarana, the ingredient found in most Brazilian soft drinks, promotes health and weight loss. What about taurine? Well, interestingly enough, high intake of alcohol may cause the body not to be able to use taurine fully but in Asia, they use taurine for the prevention of the side effects from excess alcohol consumption. I think I know why LL has been sipping Hi-Ball. When it comes to energy drinks, Hi-Ball sits high on my list, Red Bull being at the bottom, in terms of the ingredients and how I feel after drinking it.

Again, if you're feeling low in energy I think you should re-evaluate why you're feeling so tired all of the time before turning to energy drinks. Lohan Loves Junk, But Hates Carbs

Lindsay Lohan has recently been reported as saying that she loves junk food, as long as it doesn't have any carbs.

Hmmm.

Mirror.uk.com claims that Lohan confessed, "I eat all types of things. I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich today. I like McDonald's and sushi but I can't do any carbs or any sugar." And that, "It's OK not to like your body, but you'll grow into it."

Thanks Lindsay, we'll be crossing you off our healthy and positive role models for 2006 list. Here's the thing, if you are going to go low-carb, you've got to make sure you are getting enough vitamins and minerals, fruits and vegetables. Junk food (even if it is candy in the shape of a fruit) does not provide much nutritionally.
