Know your A, B, Cs: Riboflavin

How many times have you seen Riboflavin listed as an ingredient and thought "another food additive." Well it is not. Riboflavin is the scientific name for vitamin B2.

Like other B vitamins, Riboflavin aids in the production of metabolizing food by converting carbs into sugar which is burned to produce energy. B2 joins forces with the other B vitamins to break down fats and protein. It also promotes healthy skin, hair and nails and general good health.

Riboflavin is also used as food coloring because of its bright yellow-orange hue. It is the culprit for turning your pee that intense yellow if you take a multi-vitamin, which you should consider since the body does not store riboflavin.

Spinach and asparagus are both high in B2s as are milk, cheese, almonds, yeast and liver – does any one out there eat liver anymore? I am truly curious.

Wondering how much of Riboflavin you need - the RDA for adult women is 1.2 mg and a cup of spinach contains about 25% of your daily need. Worried that you are not getting enough of it? Signs of deficiency include cracked and red lips, inflammation of the lining of mouth and tongue, mouth ulcers, cracks at the corners of the mouth, and bloodshot or itchy eyes.

Here's one thing to add to your grocery list: disease-fighting foods. A growing body of research shows that you can squash certain symptoms with what you eat. In fact, eating the right foods may be just what the doctor ordered for these ailments:

Dry Eye 
If you suffer from dry eye (you know, that annoying gritty feeling when you blink), then relief may be found in a simple cup of joe, according to researchers from the University of Tokyo's School of Medicine. Study participants were given either a caffeine supplement or a placebo, and they then had their eyes tested 45 minutes later. The results? Not a dry eye in the house for those who'd had caffeine: they produced more tears than their noncaffeinated counterparts. This could be especially good news for women, as dry eye tends to affect postmenopausal women more than any other group.

5 Simple Techie Ways to Share Your Wedding Photos

Remember when disposable cameras were a regular wedding standby? Thanks to technology, photo sharing has definitely grown easier. lLong gone are the days of having to develop film, make copies, and send prints to friends. Now it's as simple as snapping, uploading, and adding a tag.

Looking for a simple way to swap event photos with your friends? Here are five easy ways to share:

Facebook group: Before the event, create a Facebook group and invite other guests to share their photos on the group's page. Take it a step further by making multiple groups according to who will be there - for instance, one group for friends, one for family, coworkers, etc.
Twitter/Instagram: When it comes to Twitter and Instagram, it's all about the hashtags. Ask friends to add a specific hashtag, like #KellyandMattWedding720, so that everyone can click on the tag and easily access all the event photos in one place.
Picasa album: Do most of your friends have a Google account? Try creating a Picasa album where they can add their own snaps. Send an email invitation for friends to access the album, and then share the link with pals who'd like to see the photos.
Hipstamatic D-Series app: The free Hipstamatic D-Series app allows you to share a "roll" of up to 24 pictures with friends, each of whom can upload their own perspectives of the bash. Even better? You can order prints straight from the Hipstashop.
Flickr group: If all your friends are on Flickr, then go for a group where you can each upload your favorite shots from the day. Hello, Memorial Day: Vacation Sex Is the Best Sex, Says America

Memorial Day Weekend is upon us, ladies and gentlemen - 'tis the season to wear white jeans, indulge in a back yard barbeque and, of course, go on vacation.

Speaking of vacation, traveling can be quite the romantic experience. Sure, there is likely plenty of nagging, awkward sunburns and uncomfortable TSA frisking associated with getaways, but there's lots of sex involved, too, say the survey aficionados at Zoosk. They picked the brains of 1,500 Americans for their thoughts on travel, romance and - of course - sex.

Zoosk found that 69 percent of men and 72 percent of women think having sex while on vacation is better than doing it at home. Is sun and sand the reason we're so turned on while at the beach? Or, perhaps, the musty smell of a muggy hotel room in the Caribbean? Sadly, those questions aren't answered, but there's plenty to learn about the best - and worst - of couples vacations.

Getting there. As relaxing as lying on a beach with a cocktail in hand sounds, the preparation for vacation can cause copious amounts of stress, especially for couples. One-third of Americans worry that they'll be selected for an additional pat down (or worse) by the TSA before takeoff.

Where to go. The beach was the most popular destination for a romantic getaway, with 22 percent of the vote. A romantic city (Paris comes to mind) came in second with 19 percent, with cruises and "exotic, far-flung locales" tied at third with 15 percent each. Other romantic destinations included bed and breakfasts and camping, but we're having trouble associating the "best sex ever" with mosquito bites getting in the way.
