Jenny McCarthy Is Gluten- and Dairy-Free and in Shape

In Shape magazine, that is - on the cover of the May issue. Actress, author, autism activist, and mother Jenny McCarthy said she ballooned to 211 pounds after the birth of her son, who's now 6 years old. Weight Watchers helped her slim down since it taught her about portion control and to be conscious of what she eats.

Then three years ago she switched to a diet that's gluten- and dairy-free, to match her son Evan's diet. Not only did it help her shed even more weight, but it's greatly improved her son's autism symptoms. A typical day consists of an egg white omelet for breakfast, then for lunch and dinner she enjoys fresh fruit and veggies (she purées them to make her own soups) with fish. For snacks she loves “those little packets of nuts from Starbucks.” Jenny also stays strong and flexible by practicing yoga, and is even trying to teach it to her honey, Jim Carrey. Jenny McCarthy Splurges Once in a While...

Jenny McCarthy has been the spokesperson for Weight Watchers and she has definitely joined the club of hot celeb mommas. While she may appear to have melted the weight away, ultimately, Jenny's just a normal woman struggling with diet and exercise.

People.com reveals however that Jenny has dusty workout equipment and food splurges, just like the rest of us.

"I have my once-a-month nachos, but it's soy cheese and turkey chili on it, so it's somewhat safe. But it's still a big vice for me, because I have a big bowl of it."

"And when I travel," she says, "I like to take advantage of room service. I'm really into eggs Benedict in the morning."

"You're always gonna have your anorexics and you're always gonna have your bulimics," she said. "I'm hoping that young girls will look up to the girls that are the size 4, 6, and 8's, and know that super super skinny is not pretty – just ask any guy!"

So while Jenny's still doing Weight Watchers and she's still counting points, she definitely recognizes the need for a splurge every once in a while (besides it's not the end all be all to weight gain). Jenny McCarthy has come a long, long way since her Singled Out days. After giving birth to son, Evan, McCarthy is no stranger to gaining a lot of weight during pregnancy...

Personally, I think it is good to hear that a celeb had to actually work at losing weight, rather than just seeing it melt away. AOL got the scoop on how McCarthy ultimately lost all her pregnancy weight.

French fries and Duncan Hines brownies were the snacks of choice for former MTV personality and best-selling author Jenny McCarthy, who gained 80 pounds while pregnant. After giving birth to her son Evan, Jenny followed her mother's advice and joined Weight Watchers. She attended meetings at a center in her neighborhood where she swapped recipes with other new moms and eventually dropped the weight.

Celebrity Endorsements: Jennifer Aniston is Not the Only One That's Smart

Celebrities are doing their part do endorse their favorite health brands and it looks like Jennifer Aniston is no exception. As I pointed out before, we have been seeing Jen walking around with smartwater a lot recently. For a while I was just thinking the girl had a serious need to be hydrated, turns out, that was just half of it...

UsMagazine is reporting that Glaceau is closing a deal with the former friend for her to be the face of its next worldwide advertising campaign. I think smartwater, water that's the envy of all water, and Jen, a woman that's the envy of all women, are a match made in heaven.

Game Review: Your Shape For Wii

There's a new fitness game in town and it's ready to work you out and make you sweat. Your Shape ($69), a new Wii game by Ubisoft, makes Jenny McCarthy your workout coach and training buddy so you don't have to sweat it out alone.

The game comes with a camera that you perch on your TV; it captures your image and plays it on your TV so you move with a reflection of yourself, like looking in a mirror. The camera also monitors your movements, and if you slack off, Jenny will let you know - she also gives you praise when you make a correction. Who couldn't use an ego boost mid-workout?
