Add Incline to Cardio Like Hayden

Hayden Panettiere is one super hero who's in super shape. She tones her legs and maximizes her cardio workouts by working the incline. Adding a little uphill action to your walk or jog will boost your workout and target your backside as well. You don't need a super steep ascent to feel the benefits of working with an incline, just a slight upward angle is all you need. Increase the incline while walking or running on a treadmill, or search for hills to climb on your bike or for a hike.

Jessica Biel Is a Fit Winner!

While we saw many of our favorite fit female celebrities working to get even fitter in 2007, none more so than Jessica Biel. When she is not walking her dogs, she can be seen hitting the track for a tough session of plyometrics, hitting the beach for a fun workout in the sand, practicing her golf swing, and bumming around post workout with her slightly less fit, but really cute boyfriend Justin Timberlake. So it's no surprise that you guys picked Jessica as your favorite fit female celebrity of 2007!

A close second was superfit "Alias" alum and mommy Jennifer Garner, though many of you decided that Reese Witherspoon should have been on the list. Who's the one to watch for in 2008? Definitely Hayden Panettiere, since she's been hitting the gym more than usual lately. Me, I'm just excited that fit is in, so I can't wait to see who is fit in 2008.

Hayden's HeatGear UA Tech Shorts ($22) look very similar to the Nike Tempo shorts, but are just a bit less expensive. I love that they have a rollover waistband because it allows the wearer to control the length of the shorts. Since they're made by Under Armour, you know they'll perform well in the gym. I am always looking for cute new shorts to add to my gear, so I may be putting these in my letter to Santa this year.

Hayden Panettiere looking super cute leaving the gym recently. I am loving her youthful and fun workout gear (much brighter than my all my black clothes). I may feel inspired to brighten it up a bit, besides the winter is dark enough as it is why not brighten it up?

Me, I could never hit the gym in terry cloth (I sweat way to much, they would weight 100 pounds by the end), but one of my good friends only works out in her terry cloth pants and loves it. The Nike Shox Sneakers are a fabulous running shoe made with cushioning, stability and traction in mind (I live in mine). Her Under Armour tank is made with HeatGear technologies designed to keep you dry on the sweatiest of gym days, plus I love the two tones. While the tank does have a built in bra, think about adding a sports bra as Hayden did for added support.

Celebs are really getting on board for Skin Cancer Awareness as Neutrogena recently asked celebrities to create for charity, original signed artwork, (using colored pencils and markers), which illustrate the sun. The one-of-a-kind drawings are currently being auctioned off on eBay.com until Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 12:00pm PDT. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society - Skin Cancer Research. The artwork is quite funny since most of them look like they could have been created by a child, when in reality they have been drawn by notables like Katherine Heigl, Omar Epps, Reverend Run, Kenan Thompson, Kevin James, Milo Ventimiglia, Hayden Panettiere, ~~Brandon Walsh~~ Jason Priestley and more. Who knew Hollywood was so on-board with skin cancer prevention? It's not too late to get your free screening!

Speak Up: Which Celebrities Inspire You to Work Out?

When it comes to getting the motivation to eat healthy and exercise regularly, people find motivation all over the place. Maybe you're inspired by an upcoming event like a vacation, or maybe you have health problems in your family you want to avoid, or you have a personal weight goal you want to achieve.

Seeing other people living healthy lifestyles, especially celebrities, can actually be inspirational. While I really appreciate not needing to worry how I will look in a bikini on film, I do find inspiration in celebs who take care of themselves because it makes them feel confident and full of energy. Jennifer Garner, Madonna, Ashlee Simpson, Sheryl Crow, Hayden Panettiere and Hilary Swank are a few of the celebs that inspire me on days when I don't feel like exercising. So tell me, which celebs inspire you to work out and be healthy?

Could You Sign a Body Peace Treaty?

For obvious reasons, I'm not a regular reader of Seventeen, but I'm always psyched to pick up a teen magazine and see stories promoting positive body image. Seventeen is especially great about this, and it's even gone so far as to create a Body Peace Treaty that women of all ages can sign, declaring that they will be more accepting of their bodies.

The pledge, which has been signed by celebs like Miley Cyrus, Hayden Panettiere, Fergie, and Ciara, lists 12 promises women should keep in order to avoid being obsessed with food and weight. To see my favorites from the list, read more

I think these 12 points are great reminders for all of us. The Body Peace Treaty isn't discouraging us from eating well or staying fit, but it does reinforce the fact no one's body is perfect, and so it's pointless to stress so much about our appearances. Here are some of my favorite promises on the list.

Remember that the sun will still rise tomorrow even if I had one too many slices of pizza or an extra scoop of ice cream tonight.
Remind myself that what you see isn't always what you get on TV and in ads - it takes a lot of airbrushing, dieting, money, and work to look like that.
Remember that even the girl who I'd swap bodies with in a minute has something about her looks that she hates.
