The mister and I were supposed to have a gym date tonight, but he's last-minute flaking on me and I am seriously bummin' over it. Family emergency? Last-minute work project?

Regardless of what gym I've belonged to, it feels like I am the only person that ever uses the sauna. Since I've been working out, there's only been one other time that I haven't been in there alone. I'm not sure if I'm hitting the gym at odd times or if folks are just not feeling the sauna as much as I do.

Because it's January, I'm guessing that your gym is pretty crowded right now. Instead of waiting in line for the always popular treadmill or elliptical machine, use this time to try something new.
So many great pieces of cardio equipment get overlooked even though they provide the same (if not better) results as the old standbys.

After working out, it's important to eat something. Your body needs to replenish itself and repair any muscle damage, which occurs when you strength train. It's also important not to wait too long to eat.

I used to work out at a gym that had a fairly inexpensive monthly fee. When I walked into the bathroom, I knew why. The showers were disgusting, but it didn't matter because I was close to home and would just leave and shower in my own bathroom.

Health clubs are offering their sweetest deals now because they want to lure the large number of individuals, like yourselves, who have resolved to get fit in 2010.

I think it's a no brainer that the treadmill and elliptical are the most popular machines at the gym. They are usually more treadmills and ellipticals than other machines and they're the only ones I ever see people waiting in line for. I'll even admit that I have a tendency to always book it to the treadmill.
