A potato galette is simply thin slices of potatoes, fat, and seasoning layered into a shallow pan and roasted until crusty and browned. It's traditional to serve alongside a roast of some sort, and definitely do that, because you can imagine crusty, buttery potatoes do a fine job of soaking up meaty juices of almost any type.

But a potato galette also makes a killer meal all on its own, particularly alongside (or underneath!) a tart arugula salad. In fact, invite people over if you make one, otherwise . . . you will eat the whole thing by yourself. As healthful as a tart arugula salad is, it will not offset the regret of eating an entire galette on your own; I know this from experience.

I'm a big believer in the power of a plate of perfectly scrambled eggs. The methodical process of re-creating your go-to scramble moves can be both soothing and delicious, but if you want to spice things up this Spring, the kitchen can be a great place to start. If your scramble is feeling a little (or very) tired, here are seven fresh and simple ideas to help wake your eggs up.

Make a sandwich. An easy and delicious way to switch up your standard scrambled egg routine is to construct a perfect sandwich. We're partial to our version of the hangover remedy: the Stanwich from the folks behind Blue Ribbon restaurants.
Stuff a pepper. I love this idea for bringing extra color to your plate! Rachel Zoe Shops With Her Guys and Gets an Applause From Skyler

Rachel Zoe browsed through some of her regular shopping spots in Beverly Hills yesterday. The stylist was joined by her husband Rodger Berman, son Skyler, and best friend, and makeup artist, Joey Maalouf. The foursome enjoyed some fresh air and celebrated Rachel's latest fashion accomplishment. She was named on the list of The Hollywood Reporter's hottest stylists with the task of dressing A-list clientele. Rachel was photographed for the magazine with her pride and joy, Skyler.

Following their stroll the group dined out in LA where Joey ordered a sweet treat that came delivered to their table accompanied with a dollop of whipped cream. Joey gave Skyler his first taste of the sweet topping and the 1-year-old loved it so much he even applauded! Skyler's approaching his first birthday on March 22 so there could be more delicious baked goods heading his way.
