New research has found that when some people increase their physical activity, they also increase how much they eat. For those of us who have found ourselves starving after sweating our butts off at the gym, this new bit of research is hardly enlightening.
The issue is that if you don't watch what you eat, you won't reap all the benefits that you should be getting from all your hard work at the gym.

A new study, published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, found that if a woman, who has survived breast cancer, eats at least five servings of vegetables and fruits a day and walks briskly for 30 minutes, six days a week, her risk of death from breast cancer, goes down by 50 percent. Those who were both physically active and had a healthy diet were much more likely to survive through the follow-up period than the rest of the study group. Moral of the story?

Just when I was starting to think that we, as a society, are finally starting to get the whole eat right and exercise thing; WebMD has to go and totally burst my bubble with new reports.
Apparently only one in seven U.S. adults reported regular physical activity along with consuming five servings of fruits and vegetables each day.

Living the healthy lifestyle isn't just about working out, and it is not only about eating healthy. It is truly a combination of both things. You may have to work harder at one more than the other, so I'm wondering .

Losing weight and then maintaining it is tough because for most of us, it's a lifetime battle. There is no cure-all diet that we can go on for a week to lose weight and then miraculously go back to eating donuts and Doritos. We'd all be on it if we could.
