Last weekend, Liam had some observations about my footwear:

"Mama, what the heck are you wearing on your feet? Those are tennis shoes. I've never seen you wear those. You only wear regular shoes."

He's correct. The harsh realization that my 4-year-old is inadvertently pointing out that I haven't worked out in years. Oh well, ya gotta start someplace.

Jessica Alba Goes Green For an Honest Appearance on Extra While Cash Totes Honor

Jessica Alba brought a pop of color to her Extra interview with Mario Lopez at The Grove in LA yesterday. She wore a green blazer for the appearance to talk up her new line of eco-friendly home products. Jessica just launched The Honest Company this month and she's been busy chatting about the business, which she's been working on for three years. While Jessica was promoting her latest venture, her husband Cash Warren was spotted out with their daughter Honor. Jessica and Cash took a break from their busy schedules to attend a fashionable event in Las Vegas last week. They were just a few of the stylish stars at Chanel's dinner to celebrate Numéro Privés at the Wynn Hotel, where Jessica chatted with stylist Brad Goreski and his longtime partner Gary Janetti.

Chanel threw a fashionable dinner to celebrate the opening night of Numéro Privés at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas on Friday. The attendees included Jessica Alba, Rachel Zoe, Diane Kruger, Alexa Chung, and Brad Goreski. Diane got glam in a sequin-embroidered number, while Jessica wore a black and white silk dress to pose alongside her husband Cash Warren. Jessica's fun night out followed a busy business week that saw the launch of her new eco-friendly home products line, The Honest Company. Rachel and Rodger Berman took the quick trip to Sin City while their pals Joey Maalouf and Mandana Dayani took care of their son Skyler. Jessica and the rest of the stylish crowd kept the action going with an afterparty at 1Oak, where they hung out until after midnight.

Really, every day should be Earth Day, which is why we're so impressed when we find designers who aren't just doing Eco capsule collections, but they incorporate sustainability and eco-friendly practices into every aspect of their business. Enter Sandra Canselier, owner of Coclico, a contemporary brand and NYC-based boutique.

With an in-depth understanding of how shoes are made thanks to growing up in her family's shoe business in France, Sandra looked at the entire process to see how she could make shoemaking more sustainable. Elements of those efforts include olive-pit cushioned soles, (not-so-coincidentally, the shoes are made in Spain), and lead and nickel-free metals. She also considers tanning practices, and wage and factory conditions when she has her shoes produced. It's a way of thinking that more brands and designers should adopt when producing merchandise.
