Spring weather makes me want to go for a long hike with the entire family, and that means our dog, Bonnie, comes along, too. It's important to pack water, snacks, and extra layers for everyone, but since my daughters are young, they get tired carrying anything for too long. So I've been thinking about putting Bonnie to work.

- A new study found that aerobic and resistance training significantly reduced fatigue in men undergoing radiation treatments for prostate cancer. Fatigue is a common side effect of such treatments.
- Doctors at the Mayo Clinic found that exercise improves the physical and emotional well-being of patients with Alzheimer's disease. The patients exercised for as little as 60 minutes each week.

If flying for the holidays was on your to-do list, then you may have noticed some furry passengers accompanying you on the flight. I am a huge animal lover, and I adore dogs and cats, but I'm also highly allergic, as are many people. Apparently on some airlines, a certain number of pets are allowed on a given flight, as long as they are in one of those cramped pet carriers that can fit under the seat in front of you.
