Ever since the '50s, when Gerry Thomas invented the Swanson TV dinner, it's been very easy for Americans to watch the tube and eat dinner at the same time. In fact, many of us Neanderthals find ourselves eating over the kitchen sink, while we're driving, or just plopped on the couch. If we really want to be fancy, sometimes we'll eat at the kitchen table.

The other day I was coming home from the pool with my dad around 5 p.m. We drove by a crowded Italian restaurant and I couldn't help but wonder, what type of person eats dinner at 5 in the afternoon? Of course, if these diners knew my father and I wouldn't sit down to dinner until 9:30, they would be wondering the same thing about me!

Last weekend, I met up with some friends at a nearby
butcher shop. The place is known for quality meats, and on this particular morning the duck legs looked mighty tasty. So I picked up a pair of them and went home for a cooking adventure.
Audreystar says she's been on a Greek cooking kick lately, and she's not alone. I've also been
somewhat fixated on
feta cheese recently, and this Mediterranean mix of chicken, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, onions, parsley, and feta looks incredibly yummy.
I love that she found the recipe while looking for a way to use up her surplus of fresh parsley!

The other day a girlfriend sent me an email titled "dinner question." Since I'm the residential foodie among our group of friends, I wasn't surprised to receive such an email. However, I was surprised at her thought provoking question: If you had to think of one quintessential Summer dinner, what would it be?

Have Tom and Jerry finally made amends? Or are they conniving
frenemies, merely playing it cool for the camera? Mr.

When it comes down to it, cooking at home is both less expensive and healthier. Having the energy to chop, prep and cook at the end of the day is another matter altogether. I strive to cook healthy homemade dinners five to six nights a week.

A friend recently told me he occasionally eats cereal for dinner. His girlfriend thinks he's crazy but I personally don't find it that unusual. Sometimes a nice bowl of cereal hits the spot, especially when you get home late and need a little chow.

We've all pulled a late night at the office. Sometimes late hours can creep up on us with no warning and other times we leave the house in the morning knowing that it's going to be a long day. For the latter, just like you would pack yourself a healthy lunch, pack yourself a healthy dinner.
