Danica Patrick Is a Strong and Lean Driving Machine

You might not think of race-car driving as an athletic sport, but it takes a lot of strength to control a 1,500-pound car going 200 miles an hour for five hours at a time. Because Danica Patrick is the smallest Indy driver in the game at 5'2'' and 105 pounds, she has to train hard to stay ahead of the bulkier pack. It's tough to tell what Danica's body looks like under her racing suit, but her bikini appearance on the June issue of Shape shows off her toned physique.

Last night in Los Angeles at the 2008 ESPY Awards, IRL driver Danica Patrick arrived with a crafty new hairdo. Her center part was slightly angled, the back of her crown was teased and her lengths were curled at the ends falling just atop her décolletage.

Ladies, Start Your Engines

Today is the ultimate IndyCar race – the Indianapolis 500 race. Quite the opposite of the completely human powered 26.2 miles of a marathon, this is still an endurance event – the race takes hours to complete.

I am quite excited to say that once again three women have qualified to race!

Fresh off her win at the Indy Japan 300, Danica Patrick will begin the race in the number five position. Sarah Fisher will start in position 22, followed by Milka Duno in position 27. Go girls! You have come a long way baby! Women racing at Indy seem so different from the races I listened to as a girl (the race was always on at Memorial Day BBQs of my youth). I was surprised to learn that Janet Guthrie was the first woman to qualify for the race way back in 1977 and she placed ninth in the race in 1978.

I will admit I tend to follow sports that don't include combustible engines, but these drivers anticipate and respond to stimuli on par with football quarterbacks and hockey goalies. We all loved this BCBG dress on Ashlee back in September when she broke it out for the MTV Video Music Awards. Between the body conscious fit, voluminous hem, and paneled bodice, there's a lot to admire. Apparently, race car driver Danica Patrick didn't think it was too shabby either - she wore it for an appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman yesterday. There were lots of reasons to tune in to the Super Bowl this year. Eli Manning vs. Tom Brady. Madonna's halftime show. And of course, the commercials. As expected, advertisers still think sex sells, and we saw many examples of sexualized, half-naked women during the commercial breaks. But they weren't the only ones to strip. David Beckham showed off his soccer bod for H&M and an M&M chocolate showed us that he's sexy and he knows it. Here are four examples of Super Bowl skin. H&M

After seeing a lifetime of Victoria's Secret angels on TVs, it was exciting to see David Beckham modeling off his briefs - and hot bod for H&M. They didn't hold back on the close-ups.

The florist had model Adriana Lima tell guys that on Valentine's Day they just need to give in order to receive, essentially suggesting women will perform sexual favors in exchange for flowers.

M&Ms

I had to laugh at this M&M commercial. The red dude M&M thinks a brown-shelled lady M&M is going nude and decides to strip and dance ridiculously. He's sexy and he knows it.
