Now your health can benefit from all the healthy antioxidants found in tea while you benefit others with these tea kettles from a couple of great causes!

Here is the LIVESTRONG kettle by Chantal (for $39.95). A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of this will go to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which provides funds for cancer research, education and support for those affected by cancer. In the signature "Livestrong" yellow color, this has a 1.8-qt. capacity.

This KitchenAid Cook for the Cure stainless steel tea kettle ($51.99) has pink silicone handles. For every teakettle sold, KitchenAid will make a $5.00 donation to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for breast cancer research and outreach.

Fit's Tips: What a great gift idea! Buy some of you favorite tea to accompany it and you'll be doing something kind for a friend and helping these foundations too!

Simple Cure for Jellyfish Sting

You are at the beach and a jellyfish stings you. Quick what household item should you apply to the wound to stop the stinging?

Fresh water?
Meat tenderizer?
Rubbing alcohol?
Vinegar?
Ammonia?

To find out which remedy will help

The answer is vinegar! Believe it or not, dousing the injured flesh with vinegar, after removing any stray tentacles, not only alleviates the sting, but also can completely prevent the release of more venom. It is the acid in the vinegar that does the trick. You should know that rinsing a sting with fresh water is a bad idea, because the change in pH between saltwater and fresh water can prompt the release of more venom.

Now if you have the unfortunate luck of being stung by the jellyfish's more dangerous cousin, the Portuguese man-of-war, you might require more than vinegar for a treatment. If you are experiencing muscle pain, shortness of breath, backache and hives, you should seek serious medical attention.

So ladies, do tell, what is your secret cure for heartsickness?

How Do You Cure Your Hiccups?

My mother would whisper angrily to me to go play outside. I would run to the playground and hang out until I knew it was time to go back in and sit down for the last few minutes.

Recently, during a long car trip, my husband got this exact type of hiccups and nothing would make them go away.

So, I was wondering how do you cure your hiccups?

What Is Twig Tea, Anyway?

Alicia Silverstone claims that twig tea, also called kukicha, cures just about everything. And we've been noticing it appearing in more and more stores (we also saw it a few times at the Fancy Food Show). But what's the deal with all of the hype?

Twig tea is essentially a Japanese blend of the tough stems, stalks, and twigs from the Camellia sinensis plant. These bits usually get discarded, but when they're saved, toasted, and steeped in water, kukicha is formed. The flavor is nutty and slightly creamy, and since most of the caffeine is stored in the leaves of the plant, you won't get the same buzz from a cup of this stuff as you would a cup of green or black tea, so this is a great option for anyone trying to eliminate caffeine from his or her life. Its alkalizing properties and low caffeine level also make it a beverage of choice for the macrobiotic diet.

Kukicha tastes deliciously rich and toasted, which is the perfect way to start your day (in fact, there is a quality about it that reminds me of a good cup of coffee). Steep your twig tea in freshly boiled water for four to five minutes. Have you ever tried it?

Collectively, we really love our salt. We eat so much more than we should, often because of high levels of sodium hiding in many of our favorite foods. A new report released by the Centers For Disease Control identifies the top 10 saltiest foods, and some may surprise you.

Paying attention to the amount of salt hidden in your food is important because too much sodium in your diet can lead to diseases like hypertension, heart disease, and stroke. The recommended daily intake of salt is 1,500 milligrams to 2,300 milligrams (about a teaspoon), depending on your risk factors. But most Americans (about 90 percent of us) eat more than 3,300 milligrams a day. Want to know which foods are the worst to eat if you're watching your salt intake? Read the list below.

The 10 saltiest foods are:

Snacks like potato chips, popcorn, and pretzels

Meatloaf and other "meat-mixed" dishes

Pasta dishes

Cheese

Cheeseburgers and sandwiches

A Reader Answers: Can Exercise Help With Migraines?

FitSugar reader JessicaSmithTV wanted to know: can exercise help with migraines? She asked an expert and posted the answer in our Fit Community.

Today's post comes to us from special guest contributor and medical expert Paul Rizzoli, MD, Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School:

When you’re prone to migraines you’re forced to think through whether or not something you do will invite a headache into your life. Exercise is definitely one of those things. Should you skip a workout because you feel a migraine coming on? Or is it better to push through in the hopes a little sweat will make you feel better?

Most headache specialists recommend exercise and an increase in overall physical activity to their patients. However, to date, there’s skimpy evidence to support the idea that working out actually guards against migraine attacks. A few studies have shown that taking regular exercise can reduce the severity, though not the number of headaches.

Keep reading to see what studies say about exercise and migraine relief after the break!
